Way to go wargaming, you make it so you cant division 2 CV's but you allow the MM to match uneven carrier tiers so the low guy is ineffective.

cant tell you how many games i have been in where the ships classes are not evenl matched.....especially cvs

The most lopsided MM I see is when one team has a CV and the other team doesn't, especially in a standard battle.  It not only gives the inherent advantage of being able to TB BBs, but it also allows the CV's fighters/planes to shadow enemy DDs and make them hugely less effective.

While I love my IJN CV, I will admit that there are many things that arent right about CV's in general, one game they are mediocre or poor, next game they are OP. Im sure the stats lvl out somewhere because for every player like me that has a 60%+ WR in one there are those who cant get the hang of it.

That is part of the unbalanced CV play.

WG should make BB armour as effective as it was to that means cruiser main guns will do crap :D

Yes, CV's need a ton of work.  Both MM and balancing between different tiers.  I also want my darn AP rounds for DBs!!!

 

I think part of the major problem for the balancing of CV's of different tiers is the nature of the combat itself.  I've seen the same thing in other Navy games.  Because the air combat is automated very little skill comes into play in the actual shooting part of the engagement.  It's all numbers and math behind the scenes.  At least with a lower tiered ship of another class the low tiered player can directly impact things to give him an advantage, you know things like better aiming, positioning, etc.  The CV skipper does nothing, so the better fighters will almost inevitably chew the worse fighters.

 

Maybe one thing WG should do is to automatically equip all CV's in a match with the same tiered planes.  Like a tier 4 CV would be granted tier 6 planes for that one battle when he faces a tier 6 CV.  Just remove planes as a researchable module and give each tier a set of default planes or something.  The higher tiered CV's would still benefit from having more squadrons, better speed, hp or whatever.  It just would remove the "I cannot do anything against this guy" status that happens currently.
