Extremly difference between 1 tier in CV battles

Hello guys,

I want to share with you something im seeing from about 2-3 days, Im now in a Bogue, in striker fitting, and i must be honest, i feel so OP when another CV is in the opposite team with only 1 tier below, i mean, when im in same tier with another CV i must admit i go with a lot of caution with my fighters and bombers, but when the enemy CV is just in 1 tier below, i can use my fighters vs his fighters over 1-2 cruisers without any problem. Of course this represents i destroy or negate (killing all his planes) his CV in about 5 min.

On the other and, when im just 1 tier below i can not do nothing vs the enemy fighters, is just... when the enemy fighters take mines, i just lose that squadron, of course, i this happens to me two or more times, i lose my role completly in the fight. I tryed to use my two fighter squadrons vs an enemy high tier fighter squadron and normally y lose one squadron or sometimes 1,5 squadrons to kill the enemy squadron, making me useless because in Bogue i only have 2 fighter squadrons and no reserves...

In conclusion, only 1 tier above or below is clearly an advantage for the CV in dogfighting? Is there something to do?

It doesn't change much as you get up in levels.  1 tier can make a big difference in fighter capabilities.

But as you level up ships AA abilities go up exponentially.  So you end up not only fighting other players fighters, but enemy AA.  Even if you are 1-2 tiers over the enemy fighters...if you are fighting over a couple of enemy ships with AA, you have a strong chance of losing.  God help you if it's a Cleveland or something under your fighters.

You think Bogue vs. Langley is bad... just wait until you get to the T8-7-6 barrier.  Each jump between tier adds about 40 DPS to fighter stats.  That means that a single squadron of T7 fighters could easily take 2 squadrons of T6 fighters, then possibly have a TB squadron for dessert (ok... I exaggerate a little... but you get my point).

At Tiers 6-5-4, there are things you can do when you're on the short end of the stick -- draw the enemy planes into AA coverage, get CA floatfighters (which are insanely overpowered atm) to engage them, demonstrate with your fighters while your TBs attack another area.  However, all bets are off at the T8-7-6, as even a single fighter can ruin your day...  though if the opposition go with a Strike package, a single fighter squadron could easily neutralize the enemy, especially if they are USN and only have one TB squadron, as DBs do comparatively little damage to anything that's not a CV.

See this is a problem with CVs. A lot of people want manual drops nerfed or TBs in general nerfed but those things are not what make CVs a problem.

The problem is CV matchmaking. If the CV(s) of one team is/are not balanced versus the opposing team's CVs it can get ugly.

This is true if the tiers are not balanced or if it is a 1 v 0 CV, or 2 v 1 CV issue.
