Being bombarded by allied warships...battle of Okinawa.

So mother was on the receiving end of  being bombarded by USN warships,  and to hear a parent tell you what the flash/smoke of the main guns firing and to hear the incoming rounds and fleeing in terror as things explode/ground shakes around you is very sobering.  So when you see me shooting the islands in game, I'm yelling "run mom run!!!"  in the house.   No I don't live in my parents house............

My mother was a young child during the battle of Okinawa....she vividly remembers the USN fleet arriving offshore and was near on the beach for the initial bombardments. She saw the smoke/flashes, heard the rounds coming in and ran for her life when the explosions began. True story yo......
