Hi all,

I was thinking about this today while at work, and I realized that as we are the beginnings of this game we know very little about each other. If we are to become the friends and family that this community will need as its founders I think that we should be a little more knowledgeable about each other...

As such I will be the first lemming (lol)

Education: I hold an Associates of Arts Degree with emphasis in History. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Arts degree in History.

Employment: I am a Lawn Care provider at a Steel Truss Manufacturer. It is not a bad job, until I realize that I have to mow grass in steel toed boots and a Hardhat due to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). My future job will likely be as a teacher, either at an elementary school, or teaching High School History. Although my dream job would be doing something like what The_Chieftain does for WoT....

My interests: I love Lego!!! and Gaming!!! and Reading!!! (especially non fiction about WWII, do you know how fascinating Mein Kampf is? A really neat look into Hitler's twisted mind...)

That's about all. I wold love to hear more about the other players and Developers too!

I guess ill join in.

Education:I am currently taking online classes for community college and am working toward my AA. I would like to eventually get into univeristy and persue a degree in history.

Employment: I am currently unemployed but I have been searching for a job.

Interest: I am a huge History buff. I have always enjoyed studying history and World War II in particular. I love going to the historical section on this forum and reading the threads people have posted. I like to think I know my fair share about history but a lot of people on this site put me to shame. I love to play video games. MMOs have been of particular interest to me because of the team work and community aspect of these games. I believe my first wasa text based game called Ogame. Then I started playing games like Deepolis and BGO. It was actually from a wing member on BGO that I first learned about WOT. I downloaded the game and it grew on me very quickly. It was during one of the PUB matches that I learned about WOWs. I also love sports and enjoy watching Football and Hockey.

Education: I have a bachelors degree in sociology with focus in criminal justice. Could go on to get my masters degree but I had enough of school.

Employment: Work full time for Asset Protection for a company and its an alright job. I'm just happy I have one.

Interests: Been video games almost all my life. Started with nintendo and went to sega and playstation and such. Online stated with the ordinal xbox and went to the 360. More recently I've moved into PC games. Heard about WoT while playing Eve Online. And the second I heard about WoWS I have wanted it every since. I like history mostly WWII and the civil war. Sports are also very nice and I consider poker to be a sport as well.

The nice thing about History, is that it allows you to do that very easily. I have many interests, many of which are rather shallow; however, my over arching interest is in Military History...

Hello! I am in college right now, and hope to eventually be a metallurgical engineer to, at some point long after acquiring a degree, investigate accidents for the NTSB. I have applied for the Navy, but am still waiting to hear back on whether they will accept me.

The reason I got into WoWs is that I have a big fascination with the RMS Titanic, which in turn got me into a series of games under the name of Ship Simulator. Additionally, I have thoroughly enjoyed a series of games for the Nintendo 64 known as BattleTanx and always liked the idea of a sequel. World of Tanks has done everything I could ever have wanted Battletanx to do in a modern era of gaming! World of Warships combines the best aspects of the Ship Simulator games (which refuse to include warships with usable guns) with World of Tanks' detailed, strategic PvP  vehicular carnage, making it my ultimate dream game!

Education: BA in speech communications, not to be confused with speech pathology. I basically have a degree in talking with small or large groups, public speaking, one on one communication. With some side dabling in debate and moderation.

Emplyoment: 3rd class petty officer in the US Coast Guard. And let me squash a little misunderstanding, there are 5 armed uniformed services in the US and only the USCG is under the Department of Homeland Security except during times of war or under the direction of the US President.

Interest: History, video games, skiing, reading and people(when they aren't being stupid).

Greetings!

Pre-education- I read 3 entire sets of encyclopedia's before I was 7. Scared the crap out of my mom. Also was actually dropped on my head at age 4. Fell 30 feet broke both leggs first before smashing my lower jaw and cranium on concrete stairs. Then tumbled down the rest of way to the basement. Yep lots of  reconstructive surgeries and rehab followed.  I have stories!

Education - What can I say, schoolasticly I was a compleate failure. I was a freaking problem child in school. I knew more about most subject matter then the teachers teaching it from elementary through junior school. Had to get an actuall document signed by the Kansas state govenour to get too attend college at 13. ( I call it a pardon ) I was skipping juniour high too sit in college course's. ( Much to the amusement of the Prof's) Got away with auditing course's since 2 of the prof's were renting house's from my grand mother. ( the pardon didnt come into effect till after 8 month of almost daily attendence ) Not like my family didnt know where I was. And it was an excellent excuse to get out of public school hell, "Sorry mom, I was at college"

Actually attended college in cali studying geology and geophysics and spent more time fixing and tuning donated equipment then actually studying the course materials. I never want to intern "picking velocites" again.

Did I ever graduate from anything? NO! But I have certifications to compleately cover 3 "Glory of Me Walls" I can legitimately get more at any time.

I consider a lot of diploma's and certs pay to play toilet paper.

But NOT the hard science and engineering degree's and certs. You got the moxy to polish those off and you have my respect.

employment - Been doing IT work for the past 25 years. Thank god I'm now my own boss and I only do what I want to earn the cash. I'm no freaking brainiac and I hate programming. Luckily I have found a way to earn enough to get what I need without bull puckey gov work or screwing over clients.

Interests: War gaming. War gaming while drunk. War gaming while showing off for the ladies. War gaming with the ladies. War gaming while showing off to drunken ladies. Drunken ladies. Ladies in general. Ladies who are generals. Space. Battles in space. Anime space battles. orbital bombardment. Gamma Ray Bursts. Fried Chicken. Bacon. Sauce's. Meats cooked in sauces. Getting sauced.

and thats enough for now! my glass is empty

Education: [edited] in computer science with an accidental history minor. No joke there. I went to my advisor to check my progress and he said, "so you're minoring in history" "No I'm not." "Well you did." "Okay"

Employment: Student

Interests: History (primarily Pacific theater WWII with a serious focus on the engineering end because it's systems analysis when you look at it in the right way and that's why I love cs), wargames, video games, golf, hockey, and being the sort of morally and ethically repugnant derp who tries to do systems analysis on video games (it's actually pretty interesting looking at video games in terms of workflow and that sort of thing).

Well, let's see here.

I have a BA in History

Otherwise, my main interests are military history (I'm a serious generalist though.  WW2 era Naval is only one piece of the puzzle.  War of 1812, Napoleonic Wars, Blackpower era in Europe, ACW...), and then cheap fantasy novels.  Gaming of course.  I come from the fairly hardcore wargaming crowd.  Goes all the way back to playing Panzer Leader as a boardgame, or Tigers in the Snow on my Apple ][+.

Never finished my degree, unfortunately.  I'd still like to finish it up one of these days.

I'm currently working as an operator in a non-profit independent research institute.  I work in our chemical engineering group, mainly working on alternate fuel sources.

I spent the tail end of the Cold War on submarines, though.  I served on three different subs (two fast attacks and a boomer), and a submarine tender.

I've always been a history buff.  I also read (mostly sci fi and fantasy) and play computer games.
