So share your experiences. Don't you hate it when match after match it seems like every decision you make it wrong? That every hit you take is a critical one and you cannot by citadel damage for any amount of gold?

How about when it seems that every match you entered is filled with opponents who are working together, making good decisions and actually talking to each other to formulate a plan of battle? My bad games seem to invariably come when no one on my team will talk, as soon as your team mates take some damage they flee leaving you facing a pair of CA's and BB's suddenly alone. Or maybe when you go in to clear away DD's threatening your BB's and instead of offering fire support to your daring exploited facing down volley after volley of torpedoes you turn and look only to see their sterns sailing away as fast as they can?

Don't get me wrong, plenty of my bad games are because I have done something bone headed or cannot seem to hit the side of a barn 5 ft away with a 8" shell. I have just been getting ALOT of the other kind of experience tonight. For instance I just finished a game where 6 of us were going in against a balance enemy force. Well the opponents were not idiots and they fired torpedo and made good shots. Then I started wondering why do they all seem to be firing at me now and no one else. SO my ship explodes, I look around and the other 5 ships that were with me? Well they are all making flank speed having run away from the engagement long ago. That is the kind of thing that makes you bang your head on your keyboard in frustration. You know? I mean how often have you asked yourself "How in the world did that player ever manage to get the points to buy a North Carolina?"

So what have you experienced? Since the folks on the forums pretty much make up the gamers not afraid of communications I think it might be an interesting conversation sharing.

My jury is still out on BB play atm but I will continue to give them a try. Had a recent game in my New York where it seemed every enemy player with torpedoes was targeting me. I was doing my best to defend my ship against the onslaught. First destroyer volley dodged, check. IJN cruiser volley dodged, check. Second destroyer volley dodged, OK. I was looking good... so proud of my ship handling and managing to get a few salvos off myself while doing all that crazy maneuvering. Then a crafty CV commander manages a textbook TB pincer from port and starboard with a precise manual drop from two of his TB squadrons. I start turning to avoid the first launch and turn right into his second squadron's fish. Well played master CV commander. Well played.

I used to hate torpedoes. Now I merely loath them. Still, the game wouldn't be as fun without torps. So keep em coming mates and ill do my best to evade. But give a poor BB commander a break once in a while. There are 14 other targets on my team. Please try and share the love?

Had days like that, lucky enough to avoid the onslaught of torps bombers, only to then get the surprise dd visit and see it just in time to see your self sink. As much as I hate torps, I give it up to those that use then with great skill, as I suck with them.

I feel your pain about getting left to be slaughtered as you watch the others steam away, only benefit I try to see in that is I may find a nice move that might get me off one more shot, at least give someone a little damage before I go down

My bad days are usually found on the Yubari. If a shell even sails within one kilometer of me, I take two citadels and burst into flames. If i surive that, all the modules get scraped from my deck and tossed overboard.*

But it has taught me something about module priorities-- Catching on fire will kill you eventially. Losing an engine for the same length of time will kill you now.

*True story.
