So i really like WOWS, but I want to get better at it to improve my experience. Any tips for skrebs like me? I often find myself not contributing to games very much. I usually die way to early. How can you tell when its safe to push, and when you need to retreat? How far is too far?

Thanks

sorry for badpost

1 - don't worry if you get killed

2 - work on one thing at a time - gunnery, torpedoes, evasion . . .

3 - its beta - try strange things and wild ideas, they might actually work quite well

4 - if you get exasperated, try a good old fashioned YOLO - its amazing how often that actually wins

No such thing as too much aggression.

If you're trying to flex like you can in WoT, it won't work well, ships just take too long to cover the map.  Carrying doesn't work well either because of that.

Generally a good time to retreat is if your outnumbered, unless you know for a fact you can do it alone (experts) and a good time to advance would be when they are outnumbered and you can easily kill them while receiving minimal damage to yourself. Basically pay attention to your minimap and make a judgement call. It is beta so do experiment there will be a wipe of statistics so you won't have to worry about all the people seeing how bad you were.

Hold alt and press number pad enter, then numberpad enter again for starters.

Also, what class of ships are you running?

Never be the only thing a group of enemy ships can shoot at.  If you spot a group of reds and no one else on your team is near them, get the hell out of Dodge.

Corollary: There is strength in numbers.

This is indeed the fundamental theorem of Warships right here.

Any shooting tips? I'm finding it hard to gauge my maximum range and proper deflection/lead. A practice mode sure would be nice...
