My home state of Colorado and our Battleship. Final 45 refit. I met a Fuso one on one full health and sunk it in Two Salvos.

Just about every account I've read is that this ship should 100% be skipped.

I disagree, it's great ship. There isn't a single ship in the USN BB line that I would skip if this were OBT/Release.

It should be.  Yes, things like OP can happen but it's so rare that it doesn't outweigh all the negatives of the ship.

Well, that's you. I can pick three off the top of my head that are a waste of funds and will be immediately deleted once I out-level them. The U.S. BB mid-tree is a desolate no-man's land.

Agreed. I actually did skip the Colorado because of my deep and unending love of the North Carolina, but all the other ships are fun and at release I wouldn't skip any of them.

YsksemB.jpgThe 1945 refit gets a nice buff to accuracy and becomes a great sniper and with the range bumped up by the Upgrade its a really good ship. Just helped an Iowa take out an Amagi and I did most of the damage as I got some good Citadel hits in and got the Credit for the kill.

Fan boy for WG apparently its not like mid tier US BB's aren't out ranged, slower, worse rof, worse dispersion. Seriously Japan BB"s have all advantages mid tier why would you want play inferior american bb's besides for historical reasons.

uh, bud, until you play them you can't knock them. I've whooped plenty of Japanese Battlewagons. People act like the IJN BB's are some sorta master race Ubermensch ordeal when in fact I can almost always find myself trading blows and forcing them into my kinda fight where I can lean on my advantages and win.

So no, no WG fanboys here, there are a couple sure, but the US battleships are definitely worth their salt and worth the grind.

The dispersion on the North Carolina is like shooting a giant sniper rifle once you get the lead down.

There is only one ship i wish to skip and that is hands down the Colorado.

Shots go all over the place barely hitting enemy ships, getting citadels are so rare that now after over 30+ games i will just go HE all the time just for the lols and ram enemy BBs when possible for a guarantee 30k+ dmg.

Ramming non Colorado enemy BBs are a good thing since you are trading a crappy ship with a usefull one.

Here's a comparison from another thread with the Tier V IJN Kongo vs the USN Tier V the New York.

The Kongo has:

-more overall armor and approx. 5000 more health than the New York

-One less turret but deals +800 HE and +200 AP damage per turret

-Fires .2 rounds per minute faster

-Has double secondary guns totaling to 16 vs the New York's single secondary gun set of 6

-Has approx. 6 km more range on its turrets

-Turns its turrets 180 degrees in 54.5s vs the New York's 60s

-Has an AA rating of  28 vs the New York's 22

-Is 4 knots faster and shifts it's rudder 3 seconds faster.

-The New York has a 490m turn vs the Kongo's 720m turn

-The Kongo can be seen 16.2 km away vs the New York at 16 km.

Why do I need to play the game again? Seriously if this game wasn't ww2 based you wouldn't even bother with playing mid tier american bb's.

Statistics are statistics . What it really comes down to is Passion and Experience. If your experienced but you don't care for the ship your in then your not going to win because you just don't simply care. But if your inexperienced and passionate you'll pick up on it quick and learn your ship fast, apply tactics and survive. That type of experience you make breeds good captains.

Or the Fuso I took out from full health in two Salvos with the Colorado.

Let see you beat a bad player or got lucky? Pro's in fighting games can play bottom tier characters and destroy other players playing top tier characters just because pro's can do it doesn't make that bottom tier character any less worse. Seriously why do mid tier IJN BB's have all major advantages there is no trade off compared to american bb's.

There is only so far you can take a ship that is flat out worse than its contemporaries.

Colorado seems to be the Pensacola of the USN BB line.

By that I mean it suffers in that it gets a higher caliber gun compared to its predecessor but less guns, and with WoWS' meta, that is not really a good thing.

Which according to us passionate individuals who love our Battlewagons and all their shortfalls, pretty (expletive) far

I have yet to see this far. Even dominating in matches while playing the USN BBs, I don't think they are balanced. People are playing just flat out bad. The few IJN BBs I've encountered that show some skill just wrecked the USN BB.

I love the USS Colorado in her stock form better when she had both the watch towers and the wooden deck and that's the only thing i don't like about upgrading is ruining the ship's original look *St.Louis* hopefully by the time i reach the ship somebody could replace her final config with a stock look model as a mod.
