How can Yamato shoot as fast as US T9&T10 BBs?

As we know that Yamato had 9 460mm main battery. In history it can shoot 1.8 rounds/min. US BB Iowa had 9 406mm main battery which were much smaller than those on Yamato. But by using the new tech, it could shoot for more than 2.7 rounds/min. This was the advantage Iowa had when we compare these two BBs. But in game i saw that they have the same fire rate (2 rounds/min) and i was shocked. Even Montana shared the same fire rate. THIS DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!!!!!!!!

Balance can be approached in different ways. The worst method is to eliminate the differences. US bbs can have smaller guns but more frequent fire rate and fatser speed, Yamsto can have higher damage and thicker armor.

Because if battleships can reload faster than 30 secs without mods they will become OP :sceptic:

Turrets turn slower on the IJN BBs. That's the difference that WG wants between the IJN T10 BB and USN T10 BB

Also, Yamato has a ROF of 2 rounds per minute at loading angle. So it is not completely off.

You know what's hilarious about this?

Navweaps states that Yamato had a "very satisfactory" rate of fire of 1.5 rounds/minute.

Yet it's buffed to match the US reloads with much lighter shells.

Yet we visit tier 5 and New York has a slower reload than Hiei.

Balance. Because it's not balanced unless the IJN ship has every advantage.

Just like WoT, "historical accuracy" only matters if it benefits their preferred nation or gimps everyone else.

Sorta funny considering all the "Iowa isn't a match for Yamato" talk. Would be hard to be if it has been arbitrarily nerfed...

"Too much work" for this design team.

Yamato and Iowa/Montana have nearly identical loading cycles(29 sec for both). Azumazi laid out the times, they're on this forum somewhere. The only difference is that Iowa's guns elevate at 12 degrees a second and Yamato's at 10, which means that at really long ranges Iowa will fire slightly faster than Yamato. Buuut at 25 km the elevation angles for both ships are only around 25 degrees, so the difference is only about 1 second. Navweaps is citing min-max fire rate for Yamato, but only the max for Iowa, which makes it a bit misleading.

ROF is a balance parameter though, based roughly on historical data.
