I do recomend reading through the FAQs section or any of the pinned threads you see at the top of the page. They provide alot of information about the game and the community. Some members are also putting a wiki together to help make information easier to find. The Developer QA threads are also great places to read about what to expect in the game. Be advised, we get this question alot so some members are probably not going to be very polite if/when they respond. Also, just to elaborate on what shane said, there is a "drinking" game where everytim someone asks where to download the game, how to sign up for alpha or about submarines, you are supposed to take a drink.
