Total shutdown come the fall. They want everyone to migrate to Their Discord. Just another case of WG trying to shutdown constructive dialog about their sketchy marketing strategies. It's been fun while it lasted, but "there are no unending banquets", as a Chinese saying goes. I had a lot of fun playing the game, but I guess it's time to move on. Officially hosted forums are an appropriate place to leave feedback and discuss issues for a game published by a notable company. Discord cannot be used to teach new players, as all you get is a stream of chat that you have to claw through second by second to keep up with. If you aren't online that minute, forget contributing. Also, it's all a chaotic stream of chat where you might as well be shoving everyone into Twitter. Utterly not what the Forums do, especially with the dissemination of information to the playerbase. Goodbye to meaningful discussion and actual analysis of facts instead of who can shout and type the most. Goodbye to instruction articles for new players. Goodbye to player-company dialogue. Goodbye to suggestions. Goodbye to Modstation. Goodbye to historical discussions and educating players about history. Goodbye to anything but playing the game. I like the game a lot, but the community engagement is a big part of that. Losing that will take a lot away from the WOWS experience. WG cannot possibly believe discord is a good forum.
