"Conquest of the Mediterranean" web campaign - mission screenshots (completed!)

Hi all,

I'd like to show the missions for the web campaign (for details see:  https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/sales-and-events/conquest-of-the-mediterranean-jager-in-the-armory/ ) below, so folks have an idea what's ahead. From the article on the campaign (  https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/sales-and-events/conquest-of-the-mediterranean-jager-in-the-armory/ ) we know that there are nine steps to unlock and complete.

Notes:

• After step 2 of the opening section the campaign branches out into an East Mediterranean and a West Mediterranean section. You can progress in both sections in parallel at the same time, that is have two mission/mission chains in progress.
• The final mission of each section does not award tokens.

 

 

Opening section

Step 1 ("Otrando Breakout Attempt"):

There is a coupon that reduces the cost of Jager by 60 tokens, but it expires in 7 days.

That was the case with the Brisbane event too.
It is somewhat possible, but the grind will become a full time job. Possible, but not quite realistic.

Not because I find that coop is faster, though not by all means guaranteed.

The only problem I can see with that is that some folks will spawn into Asymmetric Battle and just yolo to death.

Finish the web campaign in 7 days and apply the coupon for the ship will save 8M credits, 20k coals, and 80k FXP.

That 80k Commander XP is gonna need some boosters to get done in a reasonable time frame.

Sure, but if you're a PvE main, then Asym Battles is the place to use your boosters.

Hm.  Looking at the first three mission sets posted thus far, might make a go of it for the tokens.  Little  interest in the Jager, personally, but seems doable for some supercontainers even nerfed as they have become.

This code gives a series of combat missions for specific ships that award +200% to all XP types for every battle. The missions are only active for seven days after you activate the code. The code is good through mid-September, but if one is going to try to do this grind in a week this might be the best time to use it.

It’s certainly made my Soyuz grind and Iowa re-grind in Asymmetric Battles a lot faster. The extra commander XP has been a nice bonus.

I can't seem to get the missions to trigger.  I've got the Mission Received button activated, but I'm making zero progress in the campaign. Any ideas?

Check for boat type/country exclusions/req's/restrictions, etc?

IMO, if you want to speed through this and you have the right ships to complete it fast.. Co-op your best bet.

Something I just found out: After the second mission/mission chain when the campaign splits in an Eastern and a Western Mediterranean part, you can unlock both sections at the same time, that is progress in two mission/mission chains in parallel.

Yeah I think you will need to really min max this to get it done in a week. 

Ah well guess I will pause my normal game play and get at it.

Not sure if this is mentioned but you can do East and West at the same time. So.... may not be that bad at all.

Nice thing about this conquest is you can do east and west missions at the same time, so you actually might have a chance to use the coupon if you work a bit.

Yeah, I though that was pretty odd when I noticed that.

This event was a lot easier to complete than I expected, even considering that Jager is a tier lower than Brisbane. Being able to work down both paths simultaneously made a big difference, and the mission requirements themselves weren’t even that difficult. If one is willing to play Coop during this grind, it’s pretty easy to efficiently farm your way through most of these missions. Even the ones with less Coop-friendly conditions like XP (I’m not convinced this wasn’t supposed to be a BXP mission to gate the grind), CXP, etc. are pretty tame compared to missions from similar grinds in the past.

Probably the mission that was the least PVE-friendly was the spotting damage one, and even that one wasn’t too difficult to slog through because you could make simultaneous progress on the western campaign, step 3 of which was conveniently very suitable for DD play.
