Maybe we should have a cap on how many Tier 11 (oh, right, WG says they will never add Tier 11s... so "super ships") super ships per match?

The goal of these ships was to create credit sink. WG will encourage  their use to reach that goal.

The cap is 12 per match.

I would also like to see a separation between t9 and superships in the MM. Most superships seem balanced more like t11.5 or t12 rather than t11, especially when considering the power gap between other tiers. Fighting superships in a t9 feels like fighting in a fail div,  like when you get that rare 3 tier MM spread.

Why stop at Tier 11? Why not a cap on the number of any top tier in a battle (that isn’t all a single tier)?

The answer is that it would unnecessarily complicate MM, resulting in longer wait times and more queue dumps.

So, what happens then when there's full T11 matches?...

My computer will have to mysteriously shut down.

Oh boy you just got to the point we had in world of tanks a few years ago they implemented this. And it resulted in a huge increase on tanks being uptiered and increase in tier 10 population so another increase in chance being uptiered. It took years for them to fix this overly complicated system until we have a huge increase on same tiered match before the issue is mitigated.

It's not the tier that needs to be capped, it's the ship type. Cap "super" ships like CVs are capped and like subs are capped.

I couldn't agree more, OP.

Pretty sure he means a cap on the ship type. Especially since officially there are no tier 11s.
