Is it considered EULA violation to betray your own location in all-channel chat?

Mostly because if get the U-2501, IDK, might be fun to sneak behind BB lines and announce it to see if any reds react just for laughs.

:cap_yes:

That depends - will announcing your position (and having the enemy team believe you) result in more chaos and bad play from the reds than keeping quiet and limiting yourself to just attempting to torpedo those BBs? Because if that is the case it can be argued that you are engaging in psychological warfare.

A potentially better move: compliment those BB players in global chat about how nice their specific flags and signals look, and how well the colors complement their choice of camo. Throw in an occasional ping while running on a parallel course (while occasionally launching dumb-fire torps, of course) to really mess with their heads. :Smile_trollface:

From the EULA

5. Inappropriate conduct in game / Fair play principles

The following actions (and similar actions) are prohibited in game:

5.05. Intentionally informing participants of the opposing team through battle or voice chat or through any other communication tool about the location of ships belonging to players of the same team.

Might just fall under the ruining others game by revealing your position to throw the match clause...

But man that be just about as much fun as a Holland lobbing torps from behind their spawn point...

I would think that as long as your doing it to yourself you would be ok...I mean you are just putting yourself in danger, not messing with anyone on your team.

I've had to report people for betraying their own teammates who dared play subs. However you feel about subs, that is not cool.

On the flip side, I do like to mess with the reds:

(Two Brothers)

"Free Gold in middle!"

Or

"Why did our sub spawn behind the other team?"

(normal start to game)

"Hey, is your team AFK too?"

(one on one brawl)

"Can we be friends?"

Yeah, I'm "that guy."

Though rare, dead teammates on a team, about to lose, locate an "AFK" player or "a corner hider/non-contributor" late in match to hasten the end.  While this may be a violation, I would not report.

Just say "Boo!" followed by a string of torps.
