Players who receive a penalty for unsporting conduct in battle do not receive Credits or XP for that battle. In Ranked Battles, such players do not receive Stars if their team wins. If the situation is repeated, the color of the violator's nickname changes, and in order to remove the violator status, they need to fight a certain number of battles without any violations. If the violations do not stop, the penalty can be toughened up to a restriction on entry into certain battle types.

Not like this isnt gonna be abused........ good game...

A penalty for unsporting conduct, not a report.

This relates to penalties that already exist (AFK, persistent friendly fire, etc). Chill.

these are handed out automatically, you can't target someone and report them for this.

You have to hit friendlies with dozens of shots in a match for this to happen, or do no damage at all. Surface ships are OK if they do secondary damage to enemies but CVs have to do actual damage with their planes' ordinance.

Well... not with the karma report system at least, you can still open a CS ticket with a replay attached... of course CS might ding you if it's just 'plays CV / sub' like many karma dings.

this isn't what this is about, this isan automated system, if you report someone including replay etc they will not receive this penalty, at most they will get a ban or warning of some sort.

this is a new automated penalty coming in 11.10

But only for W10 users so what about W11 users.

I'm assuming you are just being facetious here but if you are not, the OS you are running doesn't have a thing to do with the game's rules. WOWS will run on Windows 7 if it's the 64-bit version and you have a video card that supports DirectX 11.

I have Windows 10 and have never seen that notification and I tab out of active games all the time to check ship and player stats. Maybe it depends on how you have your game's graphics set up (full screen, windowed, etc.) as to whether you see it.

The odds are more players are using W10. I would think a W11 version will follow shortly.

Many people find computer notifications annoying and turn them off anyway in order to streamline things. I've spoken to system security technicians who don't even use anti-malware applications as they say that they really don't work for the truly nefarious malware and just slow the system down. It's sort of like locking your doors. About the only thing your door locks are really going to do is slow you down when you return with your groceries. Most burglars aren't even going to bother to try to pick your locks, they are going to pry a window open with a crowbar or kick your door in.

you can't disable these notifications, i was dissappointed to learn that the hard way after i disabled notifications for all apps in windows, wgc still manages to sneak past.

Maybe that's why they can't do it in w11, hopefully MS has fixed this loop hole

Clarifying what other people have already said:
The unsporting conduct penalty isn't one that other players can report you for. It's picked up by the system for shooting your teammates a massive number of times, causing no damage during a match, or leaving the battle. First offence you went pink. Second offence while you were pink was some punishment time in co-op to rethink your life choices.

For the most part it's applied correctly, punishing those people who call the game over half way through and leave, or people who sail off to the side of the map etc, but it also punishes people who've dropped out due to technical issues, and at least one person on the forum in a cv who spent the match spotting and caused no direct damage himself.
