i dont see the need to have mentioned the Halloween ops returning when everyone and their mother knows they already will every year, biggest thing was honestly the submarine operation, dont bother with Brawls and Ranked because i enjoy not having a hole in my computers screen, and some camoes that may or may not be useless depending on if they come with bonuses or not

Operation "Wolfpack"

In version 0.11.9, a special Operation "Wolf Pack" will become available in the game. It is inspired by the real events of World War II surrounding the German submarine fleet's hunt for Allied convoys.

Players will fight at the helm of Tier VI and VIII submarines. There will be 7 players in a team.

The objective is to break through the Escort screen groups and destroy the transports before they reach their destination.

For the first two weeks of 0.11.9, the Wolf Pack will only be available for divisions. Then it will become available as Operation of the Week.

Well, damn.

I guess I will now have a reason almost forcing me to approve of subs' implementation into the game.

I still don't like them in Random, however.

Couldn’t help but chuckle at the swift fish buff, isn’t Tone the only one with aerial torpedoes?

I thought operations were going to be randomized after 0.11.8?

nice too see some work on addressing the viability of some the unique commanders I just wish that the buffs applied to Philippe Auboyneau gave him a viability to be placed in a BB or Cruiser as well as all his talents being able to activate in ops.

definitely approve of Wolf pack new ops, might actually try submarines there.

We've also updated the interface of the commander's tab and commander's skills window. In the reserve, you can now view the available commanders of those nations whose ships you do not have.

Yay, the one completely unnecessary casualty of the skill rework (that should have never been removed in the first place) is finally back 20+ months later.

How submarines should always have been implemented. Put them here and out of PvP and everything will be much better.Though I can't help but notice...

For the first two weeks of 0.11.9, the Wolf Pack will only be available for divisions. Then it will become available as Operation of the Week.

Op of the week is gone now, so WTH?

Personal Challenges: nice to see them coming back.

Ping coming back, so now we can slightly more accurately see our incoming demise.

Kusnzetsov getting nerfed/buffed(?) probably an overall buff as you get more healing.
Cunningham's flooding ability got practically killed in one shot.

Enhanced Prop Shaft even more busted than prior, nice.

Pick AA skills to make useless garbage just garbage, but now when said garbage is active, get an unnoticeable reload buff to your consumables. Forget TGG, concealment, FP, or secondaries, pick this.

Brawls: CVs, subs, nope.

Ranked: Plus: T5 bronze, no CVs or subs. Negative: Holy sh*t its T5, where its either busted premium or you're so dead.

vyQpBxLzFdzU3LNGyQ39mTSjRUuMPalW5d0OtV76.jpg New Favorite camo. And will be free as it was community designed.

gJ7HFx9ms2mWp2v7nzL4Lt0hT4PZl6itN1Rbl5lO.jpg Nevermind, This one wins. I love Art Department, please make this available without paying for it as well (letting us know what resource Velos will be available for too would be nice as well.) Also will Conkek and Hipper's camo be visual only or will they come with an eco bonus?

Thank goodness! That's at least SOME good news. that and the ping returning alongside the new ping. At least now you can determine the path the ping is travelling, allowing you to POSSIBLY dodge it.

Sadly, all of that goodness is immediately ruined by the change to Enlarged Propeller Shaft. *sighs* Because subs didn't have enough speed, apparently. /s

And the Brawl changes are abysmal. Ranked is the only sub-less bastion left atm.

the camos look nice though.

As for THIS skill change....

Added an activated effect:

When the AA is active, improves the ship's consumables reload time:

  • by 10% for battleships
  • by 5% for cruisers

hmmm.It seems GREAT, on paper. But.....what if you don't get a game with CVs? that's a completely wasted skill.....

It is absolutely okay to nerf the 2 unique commanders...

... but as a compensation, why not change their enhanced skill 'consumables specialists' to sth more useful :cap_horn:

The Ise and the Tone both have planes with torpedoes.

Should we measure it using a microscope beacuse it's really small, or while standing on the moon because your disappointment can be seen from orbit?

I'm looking forward to this becoming a Scenario Operation.

Technical changes and improvements

Submarine changes

The visual effect of the ping traveling through water has been re-implemented. It did its job well of drawing the attention of both the targeted player and their allies to the attacking submarine. Combined with the effect of the ping launch appearing on the surface of the water near its source, it would help to locate the submarine more accurately, draw attention to it, and allow for a quicker and more effective attack.

So, we're nerfing Submarines, again.  :Smile_veryhappy:
At least we'll have a Scenario Operation with which to work on our torpedo attacks without using pings.

Still NO ASW capabilities for Dutch cruisers (except De 7 Provincien)

All the Dutch Cruisers have to to is catch a Submarine on the surface.  Should be no problem with players who enjoy a challenge, eh?

Auto-ASW for aircraft carriers

All Tier VI+ aircraft carriers will receive Depth Charge Airstrike that will work automatically. It won't serve as a tool for attacking submarines, but will grant aircraft carriers a means to defend themselves against submarines that will work even when the player is in control of squadrons.

The Airstrike will be triggered if a submarine is detected within the Aistrike's range, or if signs of its presence are present, such as oil slicks on the water or the sonar ping effect. Based on this, an airstrike will be subsequently triggered considering the lead. The submarine will have the opportunity to evade the attack if evasive maneuvers are taken at the right time.

I play CV's.
And I disagree with the notion of automated Depth-charge strikes.  I've written a post to that effect in another topic dedicated to the subject.
