Every so often I'll just dev strike a first blood...

In my destroyers I'll see the battle slipping away and feel that if I can make a clutch money making move I can turn the match around.

So often i get tired of back row sniping and I'll ask for help pushing a cap, only to find myself 10km ahead and alone...

Clan battles: sitting safely at my designated island watching my team die...gotta do something so I push out...

Is it going to be that 1 in 3 power play?

....

How often does your head talk you into making a move your fingers and palms can't cash in on?

Do you make the moves for stardom?, or are you fish food?

Is it just me, or does that 3 kill ram 4 the win play get you pumped up?

If I'm in my Le Terrible and I see my team getting wiped out, I'm just going to cap.

I do whatever needs to be done to give my team the best chance to win.

I try to make good plays and work towards converting a win. Figuring out what actions will influence the match in a positive direction is the hard part.

Not sure what else the OP is asking.

It's almost natural to veer away from the lower tier ships at start, or for some of us that use match making monitors to do the same after a quick glance at the data.  In an attempt to prolong your survival.  However, by reinforcing that weaker side may actually yield a surprising result.   I used to do the same.  Nowadays, I purposefully drive to the weaker side.  Better to delay the enemy's perceived easy advance, thereby giving your teammates a chance (literally) to flip the tide and turn the game around.

I will always play:

1. To win,

2. To survive (and keep my hard working bot crew alive), and

3. Hopefully accomplish any event/mission objectives.

As part of accomplishing the event/missions I will usually pick the ship I think is most likely to achieve that task - but then play the game to win and survive. Not failed to accomplish the missions and have not had an issue with credits, so all is good and I continue to enjoy the game! :Smile_Default:

For me, most of the time the tactical situation and solution is clear and evident, the problem usually lies in me not having the tools or skill to enforce the solution.

Given quality of playerbase, I usually don't care. Just go in, do what I can, dismiss the dummies that (in theory) shouldn't be able to come high tiers without learning basic skills such as minimap awareness and teamwork, and go on to next battle.

I'm not a clutch, I'm more of a brake pedal with a bad master cylinder behind it.

Today was my day off so I wanted to get a win in brawls with each ship class...

Took that extremely OP IJN cruiser Yubari out.

Red team:

British CV, 2 Queen Mary's and a dd.

Green Team: Yubari, Kuma, , pan Asain cruiser and a dd.

Obviously this is a loss.

So I get plane spotted, queen Mary cits me...

Screw it might as well go into next match.

Yolo into the fray. Rounding the island:

11 o'clock 5.6 km away CV.

830 o'clock queen Mary.

Coming from no where 1200 hp dd left to right. Torp sent to cv,gun down dd. Turn and drop torps from other side to Queen Mary.

Boom 3 kills.

I end up 3 km from last Queen Mary. I was grounded into island due to loss of rudder.

As I back out, I'm 3 seconds from launch window angle and I die....

Half health Kuma fires shells on the way. Queen Mary at 13k health, fires at kuma...Kuma....

Just before shells land, we reach 1000 points....

That was one heck of a PLAY MAKER move I made....

.....

Can i do it every game, no.... but I should be able too...
