The USS Forrestal as it was first commissioned in 1954. For planes, her loadout is

Tactical rocket planes: F-4E Phantom II

Normal rocket planes: FJ-4B Fury

On deck: F-14 Tomcat

The rest of the planes are hidden from the deck because of limitations with the modding SDK.

WARNING

This mod will decrease your FPS in game and in port due to how heavy the 3D models are. expect your FPS to drop whenever the ship comes on screen UNLESS you have capped your FPS, in which case the decrease will be much less.

HOW TO INSTALL:

It looks cool!
Is it possible to make the Iron Duke normal in a similar way (or at least give him two chimneys), or for example return the WWI corps for Bayern)?

The way they depicted the Iron Duke in this game is a pet peeve of mine and why I dontt play it.

She was a classic WW1 BB that had two funnels and her original configuration was pleasing to the eyes. I have NO idea why they stripped off her second funnel and published her this way.

sure!

I am currently working on fixing all of the inaccuracies in the design of the HMS Incomparable, as well as all of its issues with the AA layout and torpedo layout.

I chose the F-14 because historically, it served in the USS Forrestal with the layout that it is represented in. 1954 was the year in which the ship was launched, it was put in service in 1955 and decommissioned in 1993.

I love it. I was on the Saratoga CV-60 for a cruise in VF-103, back in 1977. Your model is terrific.

Do you have any other ships on the drawing board?

A angled deck Essex would be nice if they ever put it back in the game.

What I would like to see is a slightly modified Clemson class DD, with lower stacks, lower mast with WW2 radars, maybe upgraded turrets around the forward deck gun to make it look like it was upgraded in WW2, Also the 3" deck gun on the fantail replaced with a twin 40mm Bofors, and the Lewis gun replaced with 20 mm Oerlikons.  And make the bow like the USS Truxton.

Here's the naval archives picture of the bow in these archives it has a navy stockless anchor and the cut out was filled in where the old kedge anchor was stowed, also the crane on the bow is gone;

The Truxton was the only Clemson made this way.

A slightly modified Clemson would probably be easy for you after seeing the work you did on the Forrestal.

Looking forward to more of your builds.

Best regards,

rustydawg

Technically, I have already done this. However, the problem with doing this is that World of Warship's language files change every single patch, so for this to be viable, I'd have to re-do and update the file for every patch, and to be honest, I just can't be bothered. I believe I can change the ship's icon, however.

There use to be some tutorials of how to change the ship names and picture of the Icon with poedit. Once you do it a few times it's easy to do.

I'm suggesting this to the last poster who asked the question.

A new error has been found with the mod that causes the game to crash.

I am now in the process of fixing the error, on top of updating the whole mod for better performance

I'll see if I can get a fix by tomorrow.

UPDATE

The issue causing the game to crash has now been fixed.

Thanks again to @Admiral_Bingo and @jakobvrabec2 for helping with the bug fixing. I'd also like to say that im working on an update for the future to fix the low performance of the mod, as well as add some things that I probably should have added when I first made the mod.

Change log

Afterburners have been added for all the new jets.
