Earning Fusō’s Exclusive Samurai Skin

Howdy Captains,

In yesterday's Community Stream, we saw some questions/confusion on how to earn Fusō’s Samurai Skin, aka the Japanese Castle permanent camouflage. Hopefully this post will answer any questions you might have!

First and foremost, you can find more information about the event here: The Shogun's Trials
 

Essentially, throughout Update 0.11.0 (starting on February 7), the Japanese Castle camo will available to purchase with Portal Tokens. There are two main ways that you will be able to obtain it:

1. For 400 Tokens, you will be able to purchase a mission chain. Once the mission chain is completed, you will obtain the camo.
2. For 750 Tokens, you will be able to purchase the camo outright. 

You may be asking yourself, "Well that's all well and good, Konception. But how do I earn Portal Tokens?" Portal Tokens can be earned through completing tasks on two main platforms: Discord and Twitch.

Discord - Earn up to 250 Portal Tokens
From now until Sunday, February 6th at 5:59pm CT, you can complete two tasks via Discord that can earn you up to 250 Portal Tokens. PLEASE NOTE: Tokens that are to be received from Discord tasks will not be rewarded immediately. They should be credited to your account between February 7th and February 8th. To reiterate, they will NOT appear immediately. 

First task - 100 Portal Tokens
All you have to do is link your Discord account to your Wargaming.net ID. To do so, you can join our Discord server here. After you join, you will receive a Discord message from the WG Auth Bot. Click on the link in that message and log-in using your Wargaming.net ID, and you will be good to go. Should you need further assistance, we put together a handy video on this process that can be viewed here. 

Second task - 150 Portal Tokens
For the second task, you have a variety of options that you can do. You only need to do ONE of these to earn the tokens. Doing them all will not earn you additional tokens.

1. Take part in a discussion in any of the channels within the server. 
2. Post a screenshot of one of your in-game battle result screens in the #battle-results channel.
3. Go to one of the #ship-guessing channels (either #ship-guessing-1 or #ship-guessing-2) and post "$guess" or ")guess"- This will cause a bot to post an image of a random ship's silhouette. Guess the ship's name as fast as you can!

Twitch - Earn up to 750 Portal Tokens
From now until Wednesday, February 16th at 11:00pm CT, you can complete two tasks via Twitch that can earn you up to 750 Portal Tokens.

First task - 50 Portal Tokens
All you have to do is follow the World of Warships Twitch channel. Once you are following, you can click the orange "Participate" button in this article, and you should have the tokens (you might need to refresh the page to see your total updated).

Second task - up to 700 Portal Tokens
These tokens are earned through Twitch Challenges missions that are available through Twitch Drops. These Twitch Challenges are combat missions that will unlock directly in your Port each week after watching 90 minutes of World of Warships streams. Complete the combat mission, and you will earn 175 Portal Tokens. This will occur over four weeks, so you will have a total of 4 unlockable missions that can earn you a total of 700 Portal Tokens. Here's the breakdown of the timeline per mission:

1. Mission 1 - Now until Wednesday, February 2nd at 11:00pm CT
2. Mission 2 - Now until Wednesday, February 9th at 11:00pm CT
3. Mission 3 - From Thursday, February 3rd at 11:00am CT to Wednesday, February 16th at 11:00pm CT
4. Mission 4 - From Thursday, February 10th at 11:00am CT to Tuesday, February 15th at 11:00pm CT

For more information on what each combat mission entails, or for what else you can earn from Twitch Drops for update 0.11.0, look here. For a schedule of our live streams, go here. As you can see, you do not need to complete everything on this list to be able to get the Japanese Castle camo. You can earn as little as 400 Portal Tokens to obtain it. Additionally, the camo will be able to be purchased in the Armory for Doubloons with the release of Update 0.11.1, if you would like to wait.

Great question! The only reward for that mission chain would be the camo.

Question: was watching a stream today and the progress for the weekly Fuso mission got to 34% and hasn't moved past that. However, a twitch drop for community tokens progress has continued to increase. Is there a daily progress limit?

My question is can the tokens be exchanged for silver . The camo is another example of straying from the historical roots of the game besides being  buttazz ugly IMO . I watch the streams for the community tokens and won't bother with this nonsense unless I can get a decent amount of silver for the tokens .

They turn into Community Tokens if unspent at the end.

The clock for the Fuso camo only counts for the official streams, so if you only caught the last 30 minutes of the EU, stream you will need to watch another 60ish minutes on one of the other official streams.  The Twitch containers count time for any approved CCs.  Just be aware that there are 2 Twitch containers that must be claimed after 2 hours of viewing. The clock for the second won't start until you claim the first.

Is there any way to see the breakdown on how the tokens were obtained?

I am trying to find out the missing tokens. Like those from Discord or Twitch

Just a total. 

Nobody has tokens from Discord until Feb 7th.

Filters mean nothing in the context of purchasing this camo supports the act of turning the image of a war grave in to a mardi gras float . It's disrespectful and part of the dumbing down of this game . My two cents , take it or leave it .

Ok, so the Fuso mission itself becomes available on Feb 7. @Konception, can you tell us already what the individual missions of that mission chain are? Because I'm probably going to have 750 Portal Tokens to buy the camo outright, but I might just get the mission - if it isn't too difficult - and have my surplus Portal Tokens convert to Community Tokens at the end.

No, those are the missions to earn the tokens. We want to know the details of the missions that the tokens can be used to unlock. The ones that actually get us the camos.

Unless I am missing something, these appear to be the qualifying missions to get the Portal Tokens, not the actual Fuso mission ifself (which will cost 400 Portal Tokens).

Anyone see where these tokens are being tracked? I know I got some, saw a little blurb when I signed in the other day that said I earned the 50 or some such. Want to know if I got the 100 for signing up to that Discord crap so I can delete that from my computer.
