That's a Unique Upgrade and is purchased for 19,200 Research Points.

2,500,000Credits Improves the ship's artillery capabilities at short range.
  • –10% to main battery loading time.
  • –15% to secondary battery loading time.
  • –8% to main battery maximum firing range.
Großer Kurfürst only.

Unique Upgrade.  I ground mine out a couple years ago.

The GK Main Guns accuracy sucks.   So to cut down on the range actually improves concealment.... all the way to 19km after firing... lol

Get your target inside secondary range and they will quickly die of more accurate main battery, along with a zillion cuts by the secondaries.

I bought it and used it for a couple of months.

It did not materially impact the reloading situation more than a couple of seconds while the amount of farming incoming deletes you in that time frame. I junked it. What a waste. Took me about 6 to 8 months to grind that loss back in R Points.

 

Imagine if such a tool was used in say the Burger. Or the Annapolis.

Hmm… Only use GkF in Co-op. Maybe I should give it a try if I have it.

Makes me glad I got it from the missions then, presuming I did.

Um..  Yeah...   About that...   Better mount SPEED FLAGS to get it into brawling range before the battle ends.
