I was playing as the Sampson when I discovered an unprotected carrier.

This is why you never leave your carrier unprotected.

For destroyers this is why we play them.

the fligght deck is obviosly broken. If you look at the left of the picture, most of the hangar is still above water, but in the center the deck suddenly cuts in half and on the right side is barely above the water. the langley only had one flight deck, as with all american carriers. if it was british, i could have believed it, but the deck is obviously broken

Not our fault when carriers captains think it is ideal to just camp at the back and not move.

most carriers just set a autopilot Waypoint and then starts to play with there planes, so any destroyers cant sneak up on them and if they wait to shoot at them they can do some serious dmg

I almost got to do this in my Sims. The two Kongo escorting the carrier had other ideas. I got within three km of the carrier though. My torpedoes missed.

It "was"  a Langley

Also it was moving slowly and I torpedoed it before it could even slow down.

Also the flight deck looks like that because the torpedoes hit it and split it in half and the back sunk first.

after it sunk I noticed the enemy Kongo decided it didn't like me (no idea why) and I had to retreat.

Looking at all the posts 8-14 I take it some people have never seen a Langley split in two.

I feel so sorry for you  it's a great sight
