PITIFUL DEFEAT

We were up 8 ships to 4, with all four (ABCD) in Green, and 846 to 234 with six minutes to go. Finally, up 960 to 480, with Red gaining steadily. Then they took out 6 ships in about 3 minutes. Finally, needing only 30 points to Win, they took out our remaining ship. I did my part, and put damage to the Reds, but died in an onslaught (no cover for my BB, but I try). But it was truly Pitiful to sit there and watch the last 5 minutes. It was like a match between Major League Baseball All-Stars, against the T-Shirts. I'll have Nightmares for a week.  But makes the game (it wasn't an X to X matchup) interesting, and at least a good laugh.

I’d have an ounce of sympathy for you if I hadn’t seen you play over the last year+. You sit in your spawn in thunderer while you let your team die and you lose. I now understand why in the 10+ times I’ve encountered in randoms you’ve lost every time. And you were the last alive on your team every time I can remember. Sitting in your spawn ain’t a great tactic given your disturbingly low win rate even after 3000 games in your favorite ship.

Oh, that was a napalm burn with Phosphorus as a frosting. Stop drop and roll into the hot tub full of gasoline!

Out of curiosity, do you use zoom mod? If so which one in particular and zoom level?  It seems so much closer on your replay vs my own screen.

I've seen GEO several times and he was useless every single one of them. That guy would put the extra range modification in every upgrade slot on his Thunderer if he could.

What's pitiful is his performance every game and his resulting win rate.

Looks like I touched a nerve, or two.  But at least I put in my years in real Service, not the imaginary Mouse & Keyboard Hero, some of you see in a mirror.

Battle of Jutland doesn't count.

That's nice and thank you. But what does that have to do with the WG battle blowout?

You do realise that on an internet gaming forum, "at least I was a real soldier/sailor/pilot" is equivalent to, "my dad can beat up your dad", right?

Or, look at it another way. You're in enemy territory. Here, the keyboard warriors are the big dogs.

When you choose to visit an artificial world, you're not in Kansas anymore.

Oh wow, 3.8k base XP in a Salem? Mighty impressive effort there mate :).

It is even possible that you did your part just like the OP did ;) hahaha.

I totally agree with you.  It's now proven with your own comments that you "Great Players" must be the reason why we lost, as some of us are so lacking of skill?

Some yes. That KSE/KSC div more than certainly pulled their weight, some teams are heavier than others.

To be fair, if you factor in the win bonus, the winning team had the best and worst players, everybody else was fairly similarly matched, results wise.

Ouch!! I felt that punch from way over here.

You're complaining about results in a game, so that is meaningless here. If you want good results in the game, put in good effort during the game.

There is certainly a potato or two here but the biggest clown in this post is you my friend. Also I hope you enjoyed me farming you for 120k a couple weeks back. You made hitting my 164k average in Ragnar nice and easy that game.

I also have the Thunderer but with less than fifty games played in it I'm certainly no expert. Since I'm not a fan of Tier 10 matches in general due to the meta I honestly don't play there much, however it was my experience with this ship that you do have to hang back at the start of the match and snipe. There is a time and place in the match where you have to push up and I'm guessing the OP still hasn't found the niche for determining when that is.

I'm just an average player at best so take this with a grain of salt, but perhaps OP you should try to help your team more and criticize your team less.

True, the Walrus pounded my BB with his Ragnar, because I brought to fight to him (or at least his area) with a BB, and didn't straddle the edges (or hid in smoke, or behind islands, like some constantly do).  And like most Junior High Schoolers, he's good at computer games as well.

Damn I didn’t know I should be in middle school.  Being in my 3rd year of an economics degree probably makes me a bit over qualified for grade 7? Guess I’ll have to drop out and get dumber. Got any tricks on being an idiot GEO? You seem to be pretty good at it.

No DD should beat Des Moines in 1:1 match, which just happened by Ragnar. I don't know of others, but because of things like that is why I'm losing interest in the game.
