How many ship/player and number of ship per each type (CL/DD/BB/etc) should be in one battle

would you prefer to have a bunch of people in one game or just enough to make battle

and how many ship of each type should be in one game (since is there are only 1-2 type of ship in battle it gonna be so boring sometime)

it should be balance on each side or it gonna be like light tank vs heavy tank in WoT

and what how many of each ship should be in battle

 

and one more question

should there be more type of game

like in WoT there only capture the hill

should it have something like attack the fort (well in this case should be an inland )

like in Battlestations

Those questions have been answered before. There will be slots for each type of ship for battle, so it's always balanced. And there will be more than one game type

In all honestly, most of those questions are too early and are also self explanatory. They will have other game types about a year after release, so look at 2014 or so. As for the amount and types, I have expressed or so in the past about...

1-3 BB

1-3 BC

3 CA

3 CL

3 CV

4 DD

 

Since they stated in the FAQ a while back that 18 per side in a match, unless that has changed, I see the amount per slot as above. The BB/BC is a min/max depending on each other and could get a wide mix of amounts from 3-2, to 4-1, etc, the others is to allow a 3 man team to be grouped up, as they tend to try to balance it around 3 people teams for the MM, meaning no less than 3 of one type for that reason.

Wargaming's vision is big ships dueling in the ocean, so I'm going to predict there will be 6 battleships at least, with 1-3 CV's, 3-5 CA's and CL's, (they won't differentiate between them for MM any more than they will BB's and BC's,) and 6DD's.

 

So:

6x Capital Class ships

6x Carriers and Cruisers, with a hard cap of 3 Carriers

6x Destroyers

 

The fact that some cruisers can almost be classified as Capitals, while others are not much different from DD's will be addressed as a tiering issue, so Atlanta and Brooklyn fans expect to see these ships in the low to mid tiers at best, while Baltimores and Deutschlands take the top slots.

 

This is not what I want, but it is what I expect.

The word "should" doesn't really apply to this case.  It will be just like WoT...up to players what ships they want to play.  Due to popularity, I predict high numbers of BB/BC/CV.  My bet would be 75% of players in battle will be these ships.

Check the forum, they answer how many ppl are per team. I think they said 24-34, not sure. They also specify that there will only be one carrier per team, don't think they mention the other ships, i guess that will be random just like WOT.

We are a rare breed. Carrier pilots will the Demigods of this game. My Ark Royal will be a jewel in a sea of derelicts and ship parts.

Demigods or primary targets?...  Considering the stated opening ranges a heads up BB or CC skipper may be able to jack up a CV right after the opening bell, which would amuse me due to the wailing and gnashing of the CV drivers' teeth.

I don't recall them ever saying 1 carrier per team.

I believe 24-34 was total players in a match, not per team.  I'll have to recheck the FAQ.

Last I remember reading it was 24-34 per match average, with a total of 18 possible per team for a total of 36, but they don't expect those numbers during alpha/beta as much due to testing.

 

Personally as much as I would love to see more people per match, since WoWS is going to eat more graphics on all the gun effects and the like I think they will most likely limit it to just that to allow lower end system.

Like in World of Tanks, Heavies being 1.3x the matchmaker weight of the others,

 

Being hypothetical here,

If CV, and BB are 2* of Cruisers, and Cruisers are 2* of DD...

 

20 Pts (DD), 040 (CL/CA), 080 (BB), 080 (CV) = Tier 2

30 Pts (DD), 060 (CL/CA), 120 (BB), 120 (CV) = Tier 3

40 Pts (DD), 080 (CL/CA), 160 (BB), 160 (CV) = Tier 4

50 Pts (DD), 100 (CL/CA), 200 (BB), 200 (CV) = Tier 5

60 Pts (DD), 120 (CL/CA), 240 (BB), 240 (CV) = Tier 6

 

They'll set up a team of x ships, and then set up team y ships to equal the total value of x ships.

Room filled with just Tier 2s for example:

 

Team X: 720

17 Ships

1 CV (80)

4 BB (320)

4 CA (160)

8 DD (160)

 

Team Y: 720

18 Ships (The maximum permitted)

1 CV (80)

4 BB (320)

3 CA (120)

10 DD (200)

 

or

 

Team Z: 720

13 Ships (Lowest, with the set capital limit made)

1 CV (80)

4 BB (320)

8 CA (320)

 

 

 

This keeps their idea of 1 BB = 2 CA = 4 DD, without using "slot reservation".

Will probably need to have rule sets on the matchmaker, to enforce equal CV/BB numbers.  So if a team gets queued without a BB, or CV... ensure the other doesn't.

 

Not sure if they'll go with a low (1~3) digit limit on certain ships, because I'm sure unlike "tanks", plenty of people want to get in, and stay in BB and CV, and the Devs will make them barely(not make you broke) profit to have them go cruisers or destroyers along side to speed things up.

I admit I hadn't considered the non-slot system, but I will admit I do find it intriguing.  I will add though that I hope that the values youve posted do hold up in actual play.  The most frustraighting thing about WOT I've found is being in a slightly 'under' tiered meaning your role is negated.  Heavies being prey and armor/firepower equals of mediums, mediums facing the same issues against lights, and all of them being made particularly weak at the bottom end when you can't actually hurt the other tanks without luck.  

 

I hope that with the more impressive and dangerous throw weight of DD's and such which lets them remain a genuine threat to the serious BB's that they are careful enough with the MM and Tiering system that there will always be an appropriate roll for each ship class.  It is one of the advantages I think that this game will have in particular given that the simple scale is so much greater the roles of each class will be less subject to tier negation.

Ideal numbers could be based on WoT - minus the TDs

 

Max 4 BB (heavy equivalent)

Max 5 BC/CA (medium equivalent)

Max 3 CL/DD (light equivalent)

Max 3 CV (artillery equivalent)

Except for now, Battlecruisers (CCs) take up a Battleship slot, hence my signature.  :)

Actually, I just discovered that Alaska will be a low-Tier Battleship line ship, so I think I'm about to restore the "Not a Battleship" stamp onto it.
