what is the benefit/nerf to changing the altitude of the planes?

Its the same with the German DBs: regardless of altitude, you got hit by AA either way.

TBH I have no idea, common sense dictates that the reticle gets placed closer to the aircraft, which would be a buff I guess... but it's down to CV players to comment on that.

I thought the repair consumable was going to be problematic.  It pretty much nullified the supposed weakness of the planes.

It changes the angle the skip bombs will drop/bounce/impact.  How exactly that will change the bombs, I'm not sure.

I wonder if the steeper angle was causing the bombs to bounce too high, and allowing them to actually bounce over some targets.

  • Cool 1

Did the physics on the bounce were modeled to such detail as to contemplate actual altitude and speed of the vector plane? I would be surprised if they did... tho, if they reduce the altitude of course the bounce trajectory must be flatter... considered from that side it would also be a buff.

  • Lower planes means you can hide behind islands
  •  Lower drop means longer range
  • Hotchkiss-made AA decreases in rate of fire at low elevation

Also small buff to D7P.

So... The Klingon Pseudo-Fighter D-7 in SFB got a buff? Cool. :Smile_hiding:

Seems appropriate since Enterprise could totally piss on them even at a 1:7 ratio... they had Legendary Commander Kirk tho, so that was too much P2W.
