10.6 Contacts issue

Prior to Update 10.6, contacts were listed by who is online first. Now, you have to scroll through the entire list (for me, that's over 300) and see people scattered anywhere in between.

I bet that's part of how they made it not slow the port down so much. We exchanged functionality for performance. :D

And Blacklisted people are showing up in the Operations channel (spammers)... Yeah, what an improvement this "update" was.

Cannot remove a contact from a group either..Only way to remove a contact is to totally remove it.

Its in the patch notes... I always tell people, be careful what you ask/want changed... You may not like the final product...

  • Fixed an error that prevented the priority target for secondary guns from being selected by clicking on the ship icon when the alternative battle interface mode was enabled.
  • Fixed an error that caused the camouflage on Okhotnik not to be applied to torpedo tubes and main battery guns.
  • Fixed an error that caused the radar on Ibuki's mast not to be shown.
  • Fixed an error that caused the decorative elements on the sterns of certain ships to be missing with the Epoch and New Year permanent camouflages mounted.
  • The fighters of Yamato, ARP Yamato, Shikishima, Ibuki, and Zao, as well as the Spotting Aircraft of most ships, are now launched from catapults a bit faster.
  • Updated the icons of certain expendable and permanent camouflages. They now better match the aesthetics of the camouflages.
  • Updated the description of the "King of the Air" achievement.
  • Added a confirmation tooltip when converting XP from ships into Free XP or exchanging Doubloons for Credits.
  • The “Combat” tab has been renamed to “Common” in the combat mission section.
  • The default national ensign on Yukon has been changed to the Commonwealth flag, while the Royal Canadian Navy flag has moved to the Flags section of the Exterior tab as an alternative.
  • Fixed an error that prevented an eighth player from being invited to a Division to take part in a Brawl with an 8 vs. 8 format.
  • Fixed an error that caused the NEW marker to be shown next to the player nickname, even though there were no new available tabs.
  • Fixed an error that caused the reward to stick out from the textures of the container when it was being opened.
  • Fixed an error that caused the game client to terminate when the network connection was lost.
  • Fixed an error that prevented the Battle! button from being blocked when an unsuitable ship for a game mode had been selected.
  • Fixed an error that caused the torpedo tube reload indicators to be displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed an error that caused the selection of a new patch or emblem to reset when reentering the game.
  • Fixed an error that caused the tabs to be displayed incorrectly when pressing LMB and ESC too often.
  • Fixed an error the caused the icons of types of researchable ships to be misaligned with the icons of the ship types in the upper part of the section.
  • Fixed an error that caused the key bindings made by players to be reset when the game client was relaunched.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the Blue Mermaid flag not to be displayed on the HSF Harekaze.
  • Fixed an issue which caused bombs dropped by Max Immelmann’s skip bombers not to be taken into account to progress Task 3 Mission 5 of the “Hit Hard! Hit Fast! Hit Often!” campaign.
  • Fixed an issue which caused environmental sounds not to be muffled when controlling an aircraft squadron.
  • Fixed an issue which caused some of the inner flight deck armor plating on Midway to be missing.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the alternative color scheme for the Type 10 permanent camouflage on Missouri to be missing.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the training room window to be displayed incorrectly when trying to enter battle without a commander.
  • Fixed an issue which caused ships to get stuck on the map of operation Narai.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the client to crash in some cases after closing or opening the game client.
  • Fixed an issue which caused voice notifications about incoming enemy torpedoes not to be played.
  • Fixed an issue which caused Kutuzov’s icon to be displayed incorrectly in the ship carousel.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the HP bar of North Carolina to be displayed incorrectly in some cases.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the tugboat model in Hamburg Port to be displayed incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the sound of active Surveillance Radar consumable to overlap the gun fire sound.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the characters in the text fields to duplicate in some cases when using the language bar.

Only ONE thing in patch notes about the Contacts list, and it only reports optimization work for large lists.....nothing about changing the way the list is sorted....

Doubtful. They didn't even optimize anything at all in the port. Still the same UI that freezes every few seconds and everything. More like, they tried to fix the slowness of the UI, thinking that the contacts list was causing the issues... and they broke it's organizational structure. Seriously, how many miliseconds extra does it take to keep the contacts sorted alphanumerically?
