What's you're favorite looking boat? Not favorite fighter but favorite that you just like the looks of that you'll mouse around just to see her cut through the waves before the battle starts.

I tend to favor cruisers and I love my Salem (though her radar is rather anemic).

For each ship type: Arc Royal, California, London, Cossack. Overall, I really like British ship design. None of the battleships have as satisfying a profile as California though.

Scharnhorst. She is effective when most of everything else are not in game.

 

There are just increasing number of game ships that once were good and equal to scharnhorst in battle but has had their secondaries gelded and other nerfs to be unplayable and simply get farmed by the Red Team these days. The Burger and the Georgia are the few last good ones still effective. Only because they are not as numerous. One being a steel ship taht requires two years daily grind and the other has been removed from the game entirely. Both have had their speed boosts increased by 30% in duration among other upgrades invested in them. The Kurfust has gotten the new Ammo hoists which reduces reload to below 30 seconds with other carefully selected skills and so forth to reduce that reload further close to 20 seconds or even less after taking battle damage.

 

The shima is a torp boat, upgraded to where you can almost reload in a little over a minute and half. Sufficient to kill off those too stupid to underrstand to get turn around and run away while your 8km torps reload. I had a ballsy Palio get to within 2km of my Burger and finally got auto detected. I was the one too focused on eliminating a pesky moskva at 20 miles rather than keeping a sharp lookout for these ankle biters on the situational map.

I think the Roma is a nice looking ship.

I don't really like the pasta boats much (hopeful about Napoli), but think most of them are aesthetically pleasing.

Prinz Eugen (especially in the Baltic stripe camo), Scharnhorst, Roma.  There are a few others, but those are probably my top 3.

For cruisers, hands down the Takao class have it. Battleships, it's Yamato. DDs, the Fletcher class take it. CVs, Taiho/Hakuryu reign supreme. I tend to favor IJN designs, they had a way of making their designs look great while also trying to break the rules as much as possible.

It's funny the ones you chose...I love the looks of the Atago also , I am also going German BB but with the Tirpitz.  I feel they spent more time on ships back then....
