Noticed a new tier X BB that hasn't been talked about in dev blogs on the ships added for testing anyone have any info on her? Same for Rochester?

The following ships have been added for testing by developers, supertesters, and community contributors: flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23 special_f75e4cad6399ce68536c0ed26af761c9IV Komsomolets, flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23 special_f75e4cad6399ce68536c0ed26af761c9VI Serov, flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23 special_f75e4cad6399ce68536c0ed26af761c9VIII Pobeda, flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23 special_f75e4cad6399ce68536c0ed26af761c9X Admiral Nakhimov, flag_Russia_6ce701e1c2f2ac3909a68a0a7b23 premium_4516ee494bb0396e51796cebff5e45c3VIII Chkalov, flag_USA_dd9fc06d19a8638f4077ab2fe200d22 premium_1d0cabf1997104fd727039ab9c098192IX Kearsarge, flag_USA_dd9fc06d19a8638f4077ab2fe200d22 premium_1114542bcd311c388080eea3a4d54a7eVIII Rochester, flag_France_1b45875fe2166c392a4b0801c9fa premium_1114542bcd311c388080eea3a4d54a7eIX Carnot, flag_USA_dd9fc06d19a8638f4077ab2fe200d22 special_fdb3e9eabba1009b1c4adb7b370a68a2X Connecticut.

My guess is an alternative to Vermont as that is what Connecticut is based on. They said something on the devblog about Connecticut’s wheel velocity being different from Vermont. My money is on this being a new research bureau or coal ship as it looks like a side grade from Vermont,

I am wondering the same thing. She was reported to be a Vermont-type variant that was supposed to test secondary builds....I am hoping that perhaps she will keep some of her "old" 7" and 8" secondaries and not just the 127 mms....Besides my wife insists I get her as she grew up there and where I met her when in college....

Secondary builds,,,,,, ROFLMBO

No such thing anymore really.   Skills rework nerfed that into the ground.

Pretty much this, it's a Vermont variant to test a closer combat style. Dunno what WG plans to do with it.

Rochester is supposed to be a Baltimore with better AA.

Also, Brighton MI? That's the same area I used to live (family still does).

All the more reason to now make a real secondary capable ship to sell, now that they downgraded all the competition. Same as they did with AA.

Rochester is an Oregon City class Heavy Cruiser, an intermediary between the Baltimore and Des Moines that was actually built, as opposed to the Buffalo class that currently occupies the Tier IX slot in the American Heavy Cruiser line.  However, aside from improved AA, there were not all that many differences between the Oregon City and Baltimore classes, mostly a simplified superstructure and single funnel.

Actually it was mentioned in a Dev Blog post at the very bottom of it, I will attach the link of the post and a snipshot to this reply:

Brighton like right on M50 Brighton? If so, small world. Drove through there hundreds of time on the way to a lake near Michigan Speedway for summer shenanigans on the water

It’s basically Vermont with better plating and lower damage shells to test brawling abilities of US BBs. The problem is this already exists, it’s name is Ohio.

Yep, MIS is a couple miles down US 12 from where we live.

My dad is starting to get into water things as he gets closer to retiring. He recently got a little boat to putt around lake edges and fish, and now is thinking about something bigger. And so he's been getting more familiar with all the little lakes in the area. Lived there for 15 years and mostly thought it was cornfields, but we've started to discover all the great lakes tucked away.

Brighton that I am referring to is located at the intersections of I-96 and US-23 (southeast of Lansing and north of Ann Arbor)...

They better NOT give that ship the name of Connecticut!!!  If they plan on releasing it.

That name belongs only to the pre-dreadnaught WG owes us alongside Mikasa and other nations that had qualified pre-naughts.

You mean like other ships of the Connecticut class, such as Kansas, Minnesota and Vermont?

Very cool. Growing up we had a small shack on Clark lake which is just a few miles from the speedway. Could hear them loud and clear on race day. Now my parents are on lake Columbia but there really are so many great ones there to boat fish or whatever

Oh har har. 😘

Look the Connecticut-class was at the top of Pre-dreadnoughts for the USA.  Roosevelt rode it, many pictures were made about it, and it’s iconic (to a small extent) with that white paint scheme.  It was part of the American Great White Fleet for crying out loud!  I’d hate for it to be shoved aside and its existence insulted with a phony ship of no reputation.

If WG will only build an American Pre-Dreadnought with history and action, then I suggest the USS Oregon.  At least she participated in two wars: the Spanish-American War and the Philippine-American War.  I don’t know about the Boxer Rebellion, though.
