Impressions of Tone?

Have some doubloons to spare and am wondering what people think of the Tone so far? Does it have a high skill ceiling? TIA

The short version is she's a pretty decent cruiser, even without the planes. The planes are most useful for situations when you need to do some damage from beyond your gun range, around an Island, or just need some air scouting. The heal is a nice touch and makes her almost like Atago -1 gun turret and with Mogami torp arcs. Honestly she gives me hope that a proper AA refit Maya with her C turret replaced with additional 127mm DP guns could be an interesting ship for T8.

Tbh, I mainly got her because of her crew's nefarious, or infamous reputation.  That being said.  I love the 360 traverse on B,C,D turrets.  (not sure of the proper designations)  The guns feel comfortable without mods, and the armour doesn't outright explode when she takes a hit.  As for the planes, I didn't use them in my first game.  Didn't feel the need to.  She doesn't feel too different from Atago, other than the aviation ability.

I have been wondering why WG has not brought the Maya into the game, it's in Blitz.

I wonder when Mouse's review will be out. I see the ship has been added to her review list but no review yet so I assume it's inbound.

I don't know but seems the Tone has a three minute cool down while Ise has only a two.

Yes it has torps plus the plane torps
