too close for gun lock?

One feature I find annoying is loss of aiming lock just because of a certain range. I'm perfectly okay with situations where your guns can't track fast enough, but when they can turn faster than the relative motion there is no reason to lose lock. To have to keep sweeping your guns ahead of the target and fire as it scoots through the binoc makes no sense.

Two things;

  • Bots never have to worry about that; they never seem to suffer 'gun slippage' the way human players do.
  • More seriously; that close; the best way to deal with it is to be in normal view, and to learn how to shoot in (non-binocular) mode.

Scroll the mouse wheel back & it makes locking on closer targets easier...it gives better groupings & more cit hits that way too...

Took me about 20k games before I heard about that concept on the forums...
