How will bad players deal with Subs.

You have a large part of the player base that still can not deal with the basics of this game like not sailing broadside, aiming, not charging in alone...etc. They can't deal with DD and CV and now they are adding Subs to the mix. I just see a horror story coming along with Subs. I could be wrong, but will this be overload for the folks who can not even deal with what the game has now?

I think the forum will be funny and the rivers will be full of tears as the bads go down to boats they can not see and can not figure out how to sink them.

They will likely all ready be dead before they have to worry about subs killing them.... and then the bad players will get better as they almost always do and it will not be a problem. The game is not that hard. 

Having said that I acknowledge that becoming very good is very challenging.

Becoming competent enough to derp around shoot big guns and have fun is not challenging at all.

It is not the bad players that will struggle it is the players that get frustrated too easily on their quest to be better or worse think they are better than they are... well that crowd will have a ruff time.

The players that have fun will still have fun. The players that are frustrated will stay frustrated no matter how good or bad they are.

The sub's will more than likely be it for me. I play maybe 3 or 4 matches a day now. About all I can stand.

1. Whine their [edited]off on the forums everyday  instead of working   

2. Announce their imminent departure from the game

3. Threaten WG with closing their wallets

4. Attempt to shame sub player base by attacking sub captains with negative Karma

5. Spam Flamu & Jingles videos to the forums?

6. Drink more?

Did I miss any?

Good lord 34k battles?!!! It is a miracle you are still here at all lol. If you are at the point where you can only stand 3 or 4 matches well... the subs may have no impact on that. Unless you find the fun in playing them or hunting them... heck the variety alone might get you back up to 4 or 5 matches a day.

the ones that actually try to learn from their mistakes will, the ones that want everything handed to them will continue to fail and shoot down any help offered to them, thus making them, as i have started calling them, "lost causes" because thats really what you are if you ask for help, but then proceed to shoot down any and all advice given to you because its not what you wanted to hear

Subs have been nerfed into almost uselessness. Every single class has been given a hard counter to subs. Their one true skill (stealth/diving) has been limited to force them to surface so you can kill them.

I wouldn't worry too much, it almost feels like they are trying to make them so weak they aren't playable so they just go away.

Bad players will join the submarine brethren.  Ergo, get sunk?

At least there will be one more class that will be spammed with; "I need intelligence data".

Dive Capacity isn't that critical. If the player wants to submerge at the start of the battle then that's their bad choice. There will be no need to submerge until at least a couple of minutes into the battle when reds are being spotted. You will have to use an understanding of your stealth and their spotting and time your dive when you are ready to engage them. Then surface if the opportunity arises. Battles don't usually last a full 20 minutes. You can manage that time effectively.

But you will have those who just dive, dive, dive at the start and complain when they have to surface in the thick of it. Just like those who light off sonar and radar when there is NO possible way anyone is near enough to make it relevant. A waste of a consumable.

It was a needed nerf because subs couldn't effectively be engaged (countered) when they stayed submerged all battle.

when I get a sub I might play a few more random, that way I can go sit outside the corral of cowards and sink every one of them

Subs diving ability got nerf to the ground even bad players should able to kill them easily :Smile_popcorn:You can thank wargaming whiz kids for that :Smile_teethhappy:

A lot of people mistake their personal burnout, or boredom, with a game as being the game's fault.  People get tired of stuff, people get bored, it happens.

I wouldn't worry about it, wargaming seems intent on implementing subs in such an extremely pre-nerfed manner that nobody will really have to worry about them.

Can we stop the drama?

Low skilled players will get killed fast as usual, with or without subs.

Hopefully lot will play subs and we can seal club for a bit with a fast DD :Smile_veryhappy:
