Nothing too earth shattering in this video today, basically playing cat and mouse with the enemy team on the flank in open water using their positioning and paying attention to the minimap to pick my spots to be aggressive. Hope it is of some help to someone out there. I haven't gone back to look, but I think this is my first random game in Bayard which I think is a pretty fun ship, but definitely limited in higher tier games by its range.

Or just dont spend money on the game, run no flags or camo.  Stop caring and videos like this dont matter.  If you have nothing to lose, the game gets stops being a chore.  Rush in and die, who cares.  Die cause your team mates are pain lickers, who cares.  Stop spending money on this game, and everything is stops mattering.

I found out that grammar doesn't matter.

I liked the video a lot.   What I found most surprising is the ease with which you selected targets over islands. I understood, the final battle with the Musashi, where you do some peeking thingy by looking further away then closer. However almost all instances where you were shooting over islands before that it seemed like you just snapped onto them, started firing and landed shots.  The shots on the hipper where the biggest example to me there.  Where you using the minimap to aim ? Its what I do for those shots but again it take me ages longer to aim at the right spot.   Also the way you were leading the Fletcher while it was out of view was very impressive.

With the fletcher, I had 1 Salvo in the open and was able to adjust easily for the ones where he was behind the island. On the hipper, I was using the minimap.

My style for playing dds depends on winning trades against enemy dds, so I'm always trying to get the first Salvo in, so I get quite a bit of practice snapping my shots.

I guess I haven't paid much attention to your DD builds. Do you bring rpf along for most of your DDs to ensure the first Salvo ? I do  very much agree that getting that first salvo in on a DD battle is crucial.

Related note:   LOL You know I have to give props to WG on the new DD talents because after the Fearless Brawler change I now have a very tough time deciding how to spec my DDs. At least there seem to be plenty of  viable options how to spec a gun boat. Forget Dazzle but the rest.

Take Smaland for example   Concealment Expert , Fearless Brawler , Radio Location  and sometimes even the AA expert (for the range) are all seemingly good options.   BUT even if you pick 3 of the better ones that doesn't leave you with enough points to pick all the 3 pointers that are good. Like Survivability Expert, Super Intendant are musts but Adrenalin Rush  and  MB+AA specialist are also great.   Never mind that I want 2 x 2 pointers being Last stand and priority target.

Honestly, the dd tree is quite good. Obviously, I think things like dazzle are an awful waste of 4 points and pyrotechnician is extremely weak considering how much dds got nerfed with the ifhe and pen changes a year ago.

I do not use rpf on any random or ranked build. I only use rpf when needed to in CB or KOTS. I try to rely on predicting where players go and pick up extra dpm skills. In ranked I'll position myself where an enemy dd will run into me and I have all guns available and they have none. Perhaps I'll grab one of my black games from yesterday to illustrate, although, my black is still specced with rpf from last CB season
