Sometimes there is no love in this game

My friend final8ty and myself have been playing a div of 2 asashios, and we have been kicking BB's azzes and double teaming dd's we come across when its right to engage, but for some reason after nearly every match for the last several nights we always get reported.

Now we do have a laugh at it all, but are people so buttt hurt about getting torped or gunned down by a lowly pair of asashios they run to the report function, it seems so.

So many games tonight we managed to bring back from what was going to a be a loss for a win, from capping out a standard battle and our torps manage to reset from their cap, to doubling back on to caps we leave, to finding red BB's sitting there waiting to gobble up all of our torps.

We do get comped for sure and it is always appreciated, but we have to laugh when we check to see the numbers still going down.  So don't complain cv players about getting reported all the time.

I don't know maybe its just us?

2nd last game where we split at the end to take back all the caps most of the chat was thanking us but for most of the battles no one says anything, we just laugh when we check as it seems to be a trend, even to the point of telling them to save your reports as we have no karma.  I don't screen shot the chat generally.

Karma is just an number such that salty players have a way to vent their frustration at something.

"Oh look I deducted 1 point from his karma, that will tell him!!"

The more you care about a meaningless number the more satisfied the reporter becomes

So just ignore it.

Honestly, this is a big reason why I don't like down votes on karma, and think that the game would be better off without karma down vote (aka reports).  People will just lie when they submit a report, just because they're butt hurt over this or that.  Mind you, I think that occasionally, those that are butt hurt may have  legit issue.  But more often than not, I think that they're just expressing their unjustified frustration in down votes.

 Nothing is said so nothing to share.

We carry and come first and second most battles and we just laugh when we see Karma going down and even more funny when we see in chat that we are getting complemented to only see that the points didn't move up because we got reported in the same battle as well.

Too many dds don't expect to be out gunned by a asashio.

This is clearly not good enough.

Too many people forget that in DD vs DD gunfights, it's often less a matter of comparing DPMs and more about landing shots.  Now, yes, if one tries to compare an Asashio to an Akizuki, the Aki's overwhelmingly good DPM will make a difference.  I think that the point is more about comparing, let's say, an Asashio to a Benson or Lo Yang, where the DPM difference isn't enormous, but one's skill at aiming will make a difference.

Also, if one DD comes up against TWO Asashios in a gunfight, that's going to make a considerable difference in the Asashios' favor.

We know its nothing to worry about, we find it funny someone is smashing that report button, when we are top of the team, it provides a good laugh.

It's always funny when a team mate trash talks you and you end up in, say, the top 3 on the team.

We killed a henry trying to cap us out, it was one spot one shoot in smoke till he was at that point where we could both open up on him, same goes for dd's like the aki, we just make sure we are both ready to shoot before opening up or one spots the other shoots if he smokes up and conceals we both go up, but you are right, landing shots is the most important, what we see is people panicking and trying to get torps off that miss.

Of course this is all situational, but as the game progresses with the field killed off, going 2v1 often works in our favour.

I did have one game yesterday where i was back capping stalling their points to run out the clock for the win, and being last alive, being hunted by a yoshino, and was called

"a useless DD for not torping the CA",

but i never had to reply as those that stayed educated that person on 1 i was winning the game, 2 an asashio cant torp a CA, and 3, even if i could torp, i did not want to give away my position so i could swing back to hold the cap.  

other than that over the last few days most have been complimentary, this is why I made the thread, generally people have been cool in chat, even the red team have said, our DD's were better, or no one has spotted either one of us all game, yet that report button keeps getting smashed lol.

Reporting/taking a dump on karma is a relief valve thing. Take that away, and the continually butthurt will find some other arena in which to clamor - and it could end up being in some area in which it could hurt. Let them continue their “Assault on Karma,” and let the butthurt continue to think they’re hurting someone else’s butt.

Let them be satisfied to hunch a meaningless butt; otherwise, they will seek fresh butts to hunch, and someday, the butt they hunch may be your own.

I remember that, I cannot believe that to be true, But in thinking about it, assuming it was an ocean style map, all you have to do is survive one radar period and land a torp out of 20, it's GG. I have lost numerous 1v1 duels in fits of drunken rage when I forget/realize how those duels are set up.

Radar is worthless. If you smoke up, you have no spotting, so you have to shoot from open water the whole time. The only time it was close was when the Chapayev preradared me before I was in range and caught me bow in for my entire turn out. 

And the torps don't hit Chapayev...

I corrected myself 2 minutes later in this thread. That said, who did you beat? If you were able to win a game against a player of your skill set, I would lose more doubloons than i ever bet, assuming I bet.
