1:  Kind of small and silly, but I would buy it....

Would love a skin (camo) that actually has a crew in game that is like responding to the situation; running around, manning the guns, putting out fires (jumping off the ship into the ocean on fire).   On a similar note, when a ship sinks little lifeboats could be seen sailing away from the sinking ship...even if you would just clip through them....or better yet if you could smash through them....

I think that would legit be pretty cool..

2:  A more serious game play idea.  Would love clan wars to be a little more like tanks.  Instead of just bland missions and rewards like everything else I would love to see clans control areas around the pacific or ports and stuff and that generates steel over time and used up ships get locked out.  I thought that was always the coolest part of Tanks and would love to see something similar.  Adds a strategic element and encourages actual diplomacy/wars between clans and a huge social aspect.  Those ports could generate steel or coal or other resources over time.  There could be a a secondary game play type where you raided shipping (like actual wars did) and lower the resource gains or increase the lockout times of their ships or something to try and cripple them before the battle....

Would love something like that way more than say, subs.... ;)

OH yea, kinda like a Scenario style competition.  One team is attacking while the other is defending.  I think that would be fun.

It would require an increased maturity rating, from what I have read.

Then have the default settings not show it or other people who have it and figure some way to skirt it into the "online interactions are not rated".  Or not make it too gruesome and just have it be rated T- I would argue that the number of people who would be pushed away by a T rating is a very close to zero number.  Because we all know that chat is 100000 times worse than anything they could possibly put into the game content, lol.

 

But I was more serious about the second thing.  I really think that would add a lot of "sticking power" to the game to keep seasoned people playing/spending.

I love the clan wars idea. Each clan has its own base on te coats or an island and fortifies it through artillary emplacements through clan upgrades or maybe oil/stars  from naval battles. Upgrades include the hp pool, armor layout  (like more armor on top for protection against long range fire, more armor on the front for short range )and thickness, as well as artillary gun types/ accuracy. 

 

There are also stuff like shipyards to build and repair AI ships that defend your base or to build bigger, faster, more armored transport ships and AI escorts to increase the clan’s base income of rescources. Clans can also attack and take over rescources bases for additional income (that need transports to ship the rescources back) initially thee will be AI defenses, but as a clan takes over it will be able to modify it under a certain level  of emplacements or upgrades, and another clan needs to go through those defenses to take control, where it then can repair and add on more fortification and defense 

 

These bases can use technology based on which server/place the clan chooses, so a EU server can choose a base on the Atlantic wall housing German fortifications such as Gnesinaue (spelling) triple 11 inch C turret  and it potentially can make it cross server.

I don't think the maturity rating would change just by the presence of people as long as there is no death and dismemberment. WoWP and the game from the other game producer that shall not be mentioned has crew but as soon as a vehicle hits zero hit points they disappear.

Yes, it would be cool but it would be a HUGE amount of effort to implement (think of all the animations) for not really any practical improvement. And it would have to be done without a hit to game performance which also isn't easy. Overall just to expensive to implement, which is enough to kill it right there. Additionally as others have said it brings up issues with the game rating and focus. Remember one shell hit IRL could mean dozens killed and hundreds wounded, An average battle in WOWS would have 20K+ casulties. Not to mention that things like fires, flooding, and shrapnel do horrible thing to people. WOWS gets around that by having no people animated, I'm not sure we want go down the road of bringing that into play every single battle.

Hmm, maybe. Cool idea but would have to be careful how to implement it. It couldn't have any in game bonuses or effects, and it would have to be optional to be involved. But as a separate thing that participating clans could do it might be fun.

I would say to take the desired economic gain from the "quest rewards" for CBs and move it into this system.  That way the economy remains net-neutral, but CBs is a much more macro-strategic and immersive thing.

1- As an opt in/mod type of thing it might be able to get by the rating issues...but at the extremes of burning crew (per the title) it will need to have a cash only credit card purchase option so kids can't just spend doubloons to easily get it...

Not my personal viewpoint that kids need to be protected from seeing animated versions of that stuff (if what Wile E Coyote goes through in all his failed attempts at trying to catch the Road Runner doesn't need editing then don't think kids are gonna be confused into thinking the animated humans are actually getting harmed)...but as long as there's a ratings board it will be an issue.

As for the clan base battles it would need to be an opt in thing because I don't think a lot of the clans are gonna go for the continued option of having their bases attacked & their resources grabbed up (especially at the start) by clans that can instantly upgrade all of their offenses & defenses while others need time to do it...

Of course w/the option to wait everybody will just wait until they get theirs maxed out before opting in so it will be a cancel out scenario.

Never played tanks though so don't have the idea of how it is implemented there to compare to.

If it is a high level competitive mode option that is optional I'm all for letting the unis battle it out as long as they can't just pick on those that don't want to.
