Watched the landing. Lots of new tech on the rover. Should be interesting to follow.

Thanks for this.  I can hardly wait to see the recovered samples from Mars.  That mission is not going to happen for a couple of decades, but the plan is for the Perseverance rover to gather them; put them in a storage tank, which will later be collected ~2028, and finally returned to Earth in ~2031.

Vid on Curiosity’s landing. ‘Seven Minutes of Terror.’

Which I did watch. Awesome seeing the control center crew come alive with relief and excitement when the first signal of a good landing came in.

God, I still love this vid, dramatic music, visuals, and narration are perfect.

And a vid about Perseverance.

Kinda bummed I missed seeing it live... :Smile_sad:

Well, you wouldn't see it live.  Long lag time.

But you could watch the control room.  Which I will do shortly.
