That mission is not going to happen for a couple of decades, but the plan is for the Perseverance rover to gather them; put them in a storage tank, which will later be collected ~2028, and finally returned to Earth in ~2031. Awesome seeing the control center crew come alive with relief and excitement when the first signal of a good landing came in. God, I still love this vid, dramatic music, visuals, and narration are perfect. And a vid about Perseverance. Kinda bummed I missed seeing it live...
