353,413 players all time peak? What happened Feb 4 at 1800 ? Also 48, 512 within 48hrs? I couldn't imagine WOWs having that many people on.

Anyways thought this was funny so thought I would share. :cap_wander:

B-b-but CVs and the Captain Skill Rework are driving people to quit in droves!

The game is literally dying!

The 350k+ figure is far more likely to be a bug on steamcharts. As for the jump in players this month i'd say a combination of people on hiatus wanting to try the rework and in the case of Steam a Starter Pack with Ishizuchi is given for free, some might have given the game a shot.

For a game with a 3 and a half year all time high of 22,000 peak players to suddenly have 353,000, says there was some reporting glitch in steams numbers. especially since the number of players fell right back to normal levels.

Inflated numbers for stockholder reasons.

Bingo. It goes something like...

Marketing: We need big numbers for quarterly report or we're toast. :fish_panic:

Developers: We got this. :Smile_glasses:

What happened was you could get steam trading cards by using the invitation pack so people logged into to get the cards and then left.

That seems about right.

I had no idea those trading cards were that big of a deal

Likely someone said this already but the whole thing was complete free now too? I know my buddy came and played a few rounds and said it asked money for the bundle  previously.
