Last evening I lost WOW NA game, I had to re-install the entire game (40ish Gig) but I still have the original game installed in 2017 (about 63 Gig)

Since they take a lot of space on my hard drive can I delete the original file safely ?

If the place you save your original game is different folder from the new one that you just download then YES

eg C:/WoWs/Wargaming <-- original

D:/WoWs/Wargaming <-- new

You can delete the original

Not quite a gacha like FGO. Your ships are all server side, and should never go away, outside of you selling them, or asking for your account to be deleted.
