Commander skill to reduce gun bloom duration

We have a number of the commander skills devoted to dealing damage: increasing accuracy, reducing reload, increasing fire chance, or increasing the actual damage a shell can deliver. It would have been interesting to add a skill that reduced gun bloom time if certain conditions are met (e.g. if fewer than x hostile ships are within y distance). WG already figured in proximity to skills like Dead Eye, so this seems like a natural extension.

You cannot reduce a bloom of 100 foot by 30 feet across of flame. It will be seen dozens of miles.

I have a mental image of a 200 foot by 50 foot silencer on each gun barrel turn that BOOM into a Pffth.

Don't give them ideas, they'll just tack this onto Dead Eye because clearly that skill needs buffing

They can call it “Gun-Powder Puff”.  Say, a 30% bloom-time reduction, for maybe 3 skill points?  Don’t make it a conditional skill, we have enough of those.

Yeah, they're not going to reduce gun bloom anytime soon.

In fact, I think maybe the next big 'rework' may be concealment.

Talk about screaming bloody murder...

They already did that when concealment went from class variable to a flat 10%.

So a massive Midway aircraft carrier can hide (behind a tiny sand spit with a single coconut palm,) just as easily as a tiny Mutsuki destroyer.

WG balanz logic.

Wouldn't a skill like that technically enable stealth-firing at certain ranges? If so, I can see that combining with the Deadeye and being massively broken.

I don't think BBs need any more encouragement to sit at the back of the map.

Make it a DD only skill, as DDs currently have the same bloom time as Yamatos.

BBs wouldnt want that skill...but should be mandatory for cruisers...all that bloom they make , makes it harder for me to see their ship..they hide in it.... 

of course that skill should be 4 points
