Japan is known for winds up to 300 knots at 20000 feet and above creating problems for B29's You either spent a hour 5 miles from IP and got trashed sitting still trying to buck the jet or you zipped downwind at 600+ relative ground speed too fast for the Norden Bomb Sight to calculate the drop.
