So I just was fighting against 4 crusiers (tier 3 and 4) in my Kongo. One of them was from the from (6km away st louis) and other 3 were about 10kms away in the back. I decided to use second artillery (ctrl+click) on the St Louis and focus main guns on the 3 in the back. I could not be more wrong! The tier 3 crusier did more damage to me than my second artillery and I had to focus my main guns on him. However I could not just turn the front two turrets and I had do turn all of them. I will not comment how disappointed I was that I did not do enough damage to tier 3 cruiser with tier 5 battleship with secondary artillery.....

So not only switching the targets was clunky to say the least but I got killed in the process. Why cannot I just set turret A and B to STAY turned to the front and X Y to the back? I know this is not a simulator but come on guys, real ships could focus each and every turret on different target. There is autoaim present in the game already, why not allow to aim each turret by itseld and lock on the target? Or at least A B and XY separately. Use 1,2 to select set of guns and than aim it at the target, click a button (T for me) and then select next one. You could set up each ship in port which cannons would be in which group and so on.

If main guns auto aimed, it would solve one problem: that people think the game is a "point-and-click". However, it would create another: it would just become a "click" game. Also, that's probably the most un-biased poll I've ever seen.

It would not be just click because if the ship changes course existing autoaim does not adjust. Not to mention that modders aleady have the aimbot for this game...

Main guns on the closest threat to you, especially a cruiser like the St Lous, she may be a tier 3 but she has a massive array of guns to pelt you with over and over and over.          And she don't miss

The fact you just mentioned using Aimbot in this game would be good enough reason to not have front and rear battleship turrets operate independantly.

I think the battleship turrets turning really slowly is not the problem.  That rotation speed is accurate to real life.  However, you cannot move the unused turrets into a position you want for a turn you are planning, but the thing is I don't know if that should be done as battleships might become OP if they have too many advantages.  That lack of efficient control over their turrets is one of the things that equalizes out the game so Cruisers and Destroyers are not worthless.

After all there is no logic at all why Japanese Destroyers have such poor rotation speeds on their turrets.  That is clearly done for gameplay, not logic.

I can't agree that a feature like that to un-hook rear and forward turrets into two separately controlled gun groups is a good idea.  Yes, I know that is un-realistic, but gameplay has to count before logic in some areas, and this is a small enough detail that I vote no.

Besides, it might be easier to just Keep-It-Simple-Stupid sort of thing.

There is not aim bot, no mods aim your guns for you.        There is no auto aim in the game either, only the target acquisition system and it only holds your guns where you aim them.

Can we just have yes or no for selectable answers?  Would make the poll look more professional.

better question. How are you playing if you only have member tag?

Maybe he's playing on a friends account, or he is one of those people with 15 alt accounts to maximize their chances of getting into the CBT (because it was a random pull if I remember right).

There is, you want a link? I do not want to spread cancer here. We have enough of it in WoT. Call it however you want - autoaim, target acquisition system. You know what I mean.

I believe that it does not affect the level of the player! And this is why I like this game and WoT. It's not simple be accurate and you win game. There is so much more to the game, takes thought and teamwork. Therefore I believe that introducing this would not break the game. On the contrary - it would even the chances of people with and without mods.

I play on my WG account. Why don't I have a tag? Ask WG and their buggy system ;) Funny thing is I have different user name on forums and when I login using my WG name I get into this account.

BB OP? What about destroyers puffing smoke, killing you with a single row of torpedos cause you just do not see them coming till very late. What about that planes dropping torpedos on your head so you cannot dodge?

I have seen the link, and it is not an aim bot.   It only takes advantage of the same algorithms used to predict enemy location for torpedo launchers.    Its a lead indicator, it does not aim the guns for you.   It does not alter the shells flight path according to target direction changes.

If you define aimbot as altering shell flight paths than yes - it is not. However it is a common name for all mods allowing to aim more easilty than means avaiable in the game client.

Aimbots auto aim for you. What the mod is, is an aim assist mod as you the player still have to aim.

Options for frontal/rear turrets and secondary weapons manual control  sure would be nice.
