I’ve played at 75fps for a few years now. Today I noticed things looked odd and started checking settings. Everything looked right except that in game I see no higher than 30fps. What would have caused the change and how do I fix it?

Just downloaded the mod pack and set the limiter to 60. No change.

I don't know what the issue may be ... but you could check the settings in you engine_config.xml ... or change them there and see if that fixes the problem.

Here's the location of the file and line to check/modify

You can manually change the " engine_config.xml " in the "bin" file found in your wows folder...
And the part your looking for is very close to the top the the file...<maxFrameRate>144</maxFrameRate>      <-- change that number there.

Just open it in notepad, edit then save, you're good to go.
So the path for me is > World_of_Warships > bin > and then the last modified numbered folder, it's generally the bottom one. > res >  engine_config.xml     and you're done.

Follow the path to the Bin file 3245976 and inside there will be the correct engine_config

If you have mods installed then it'll be in the res_mods folder, inside the same bin file 3245976 follow the same path, both will be in the same numbered file.

Cheers!

<engine_config.xml>
  <renderer>
    <cacheEffects>false</cacheEffects>
    <gammaCorrectionOutside>1.0</gammaCorrectionOutside>
    <gammaCorrectionInside>1.0</gammaCorrectionInside>
    <gammaCorrectionSpeed>0.2</gammaCorrectionSpeed>
    <tripleBuffering>true</tripleBuffering>
    <maxFrameRate>144</maxFrameRate>    <----- Right at the top, thats what you're looking for to change in note pad.

If you have a discrete graphics card in the laptop make sure that your game is using that and not the integrated card.

This could be the answer. Check your laptop's documentation to see if the system is properly configured and the game is being properly detected. Also there is the possibility that your discrete graphics card has lost power, needs its software configured/updated, or is failing. If the card is removable take it out and re-insert it to clean its contacts.
