I was told CVs couldnt deal as much damage as pre-rework CVs though...  </s>

Maybe we should introduce scaling AA so that the longer a flight of planes spends in an AA bubble the more damage they take....

The new FDR is quite obviously "broken" right now in comparison to tier CVs that have been in the game for years and have suffered continual nerfs. Come back in a year and see if it is still doing as well.

Franklin D. Roosevelt U.S.A. 19 569 52.63 % 0.93 104 775 1 818 3.94 4.25

Midway U.S.A. 872 086 46.79 % 0.80 71 181 1 732 5.33 3.65

Wait, why are those planes so maneuverable during the terminal stages of an attack flight?? And in some scenarios, the reticle was actually tightening while make a hard turn???

FDRs torpedo planes can make FULL hard turns with absolutely ZERO reticle penalties..  it's one of its several gimmicks.   The torps aren't particularly powerful.. But there is a lot of them and "dodging" them against a competent pilot...    good luck.    FDRs performance at present is going to be sky high..  Just like all steel ships, it's only in the hands of pretty experienced players..  And even then.. mostly only those who have interest in CVs.. so yea..  Its a particularly nasty crowd for the most part..   Gaishu alone has likely improved the averages considerably by streaming it the pool is so low.

They needed something so obscene, so broken, that it would get CV mains to care about grinding steel boats.

THAT is why we have FDR.

World of Carriers And Target Ships.  Guess those ships just need to learn how to dodge better.:Smile_trollface:

And on top of that he took a grand total of 0 damage.

All reward no risk.

It's not a tech tree ship. They aren't going to nerf it.

With the commander rework it's just going to get even better.

They released it broken, it's going to stay broken. And get even more broken.

As a CV main, I tend to agree with you here.

Problem is, they won't directly nurf it....nah we caught onto how Wargaming nurf's premiums. They do "global changes" which are targeted at specific ships but sadly affect so many others.

<.< This is the main reason Graf Zep is pretty bad right now.

World of Cats is pretty awesome. I hope that we get the Norwegian Forest branch soon. Tabbys and Bombays are fun, but I’m really interested in seeing what longhair gameplay is going to be like.

You can literally find a video on every single ship in the game dominating a match. Does that mean they all need a nerf? No. Does the FDR......probably....but it’s a steel ship and should be better than tech tree CVs.

Steel ships typically have better stats than TT ships because they're behind a steel gate....

Because they more or less simply copied over the accuracy settings of Audacious to FDR.

I suppose they reasoned that FDR was an Anglophile, so it's OK.

FDR's is laughing in the distance with skills that let it ignore 15% of TDS and 33% of flak when its planes already laugh off flak
