Radar on Submarines!  The USN literally stuffed Radar onto anything they could.  They even started stuffing them onto PT Boats.  Meanwhile the IJN didn't have a Destroyer with Radar in the Solomons until 1943.

The game makes radar seem rare, but everything had it in ww2, even airplanes that would fight at night in complete darkness (night fighters)
