Asashio....but note deep water torps.

Gearing and Halland have decent range too but not 20k.

why you need 15 to 20 km when you have 40 torps at 12km?

Gearing is what you're looking for. 16.5km, much more better torpedoes than Shima's.

You can use the Gearing with the RP Concealment Slot Five, gives you about a 5.5ish concealment and 16.5 torps that reload a little faster. The 12km I use with Shima runs into trouble against 12Km radar ships more common now. The Somers is the next one I would reach for but thats Gated. It will take me a year plus to get that much steel. The Benham is the next one. Reloads torps like a methhead on a one track mind working overtime. He he.

Shima like dds include smaland and others like her who can be equally dangerous in that low detection range and does a better job with guns in case they actually got caught with hand in cookie jar.

 

I do not bother with the 20's and actually have 8's on hand for competition if need be. That close Im already dead anyway with Shima but you aint getting away at 80+ knots. BANZAI lolz

Halland has 15km, focused on high speed, fast reload, and terrible damage.

Asashio has 20km Super DWT for BB and CV.

Somers and Gearing have long range torpedoes for US with good concealment but mediocre other stats.

Gearing has 10 torpedoes, 16.5km range.  Halland has 10 ultra fast torpedoes, 15km range.  They don't hit very hard but you can fire them in a special narrow pattern.
