Speculating on Future Coal Ships

With the announcement that ships like Thunderer, Georgia, etc. are being removed from the armory, I was curious what you all think might be future coal ships to replace them?

I currently have enough coal for Thunderer but am holding off getting her as I'm not entirely sure I'd enjoy her playstyle, and may want to save that coal for ships being added later.

There are dozens of players (and likely many more than that) who have posted on these forums over the years that "I wish I had picked up ******* when I had the chance".  Don't be one of those players.  If you have the coal for Thunderer, save yourself some anxiety later and get it.

There has never been a coal ship pulled so fast that somebody who had zero coal when it was introduced would have had to struggle to get it before it was pulled.  In other words hoarding your coal for a future, hypothetical ship in lieu of getting the soon to be removed ship that is available now isn't the best bet.  We will be getting a new coupon for, IIRC, 25% off of a resource ship in the next week or so, that might help.

Don't fence-sit on Thunderer. Get her now while you can, and start stacking your coal for ships in the future.

The first gen ships are always OP, then the subsequent ships get more and more boring.

The upcoming replacement coal ships will be as boring as azuma...

That's what I'm expecting, to coincide with the Italian BB early access like Pommern did for the KM CVs

Thunderer is by some account OP.... OP ships are often pulled sooner rather than later. Just a thought..

I second this. That ship is so good.

One thing you can get consistently (if not in great amounts) is coal.  If you can do two daily crates and three daily missions, you can pick up at least 1k coal every day.  If you are only using coupons, that is about 1 ship every 6 months.  And that doesn't include coal dropping from directive missions, snowflake events and the like.

My advice is to get her right now. In 7 days the coupon will reset so.... you will still benefit from a coupon. That's what I did,  only with Georgia and I still think I have a reasonable chance for the Thud (snowflakes).

Thanks everyone for the replies/advice. Ended up buying the Thunderer and am enjoying quite a lot!

I bought it and had regrets, but once i adjusted to her guns she is one of my favorite ships despite being an HE spammer. Its not as boring as I though, which i think is because good marksmanship rewards quite nicely, making shure your time is well spent playing her.

The problem I had with Thunderer at first is her AP is just as enticing as her HE.  Really encourages you to be selective on her shell type like a CA.

While it is nice to see young girls like you enjoying the game, I think you should make your own decisions on matters like this...

Just load AP for everything unless it's  a bow/stern on BB
