"thinking man's game, highly realistic" maybe it was a few years ago, now its just a game of "who can hide their ships better" theres no "thinking" to be had here anymore

There's this thing called advertisement, where a company pays money to have its products featured...  Maybe you've heard of it?

"take command of your own fleet"

Marketing and reality are not friends, not here, not anywhere, not ever.

I have 123 ships in my port.. thats not enough for a fleet?

In CBs, the caller commands 7-9 ships.  (It may not be the most accurate statement in advertising, but it's not completely incorrect..)

Sure, now take a multiple number out simultaneously, so as to "command...your own fleet."

They advertise on YouTube's World War Two, Minute by Minute with Indy Neidell, a worthwhile channel. So, they do accomplish some worthwhile support.

"Ensuring realistic and highly accurate gameplay,":Smile_veryhappy: Even better they show Khaba and what looks like Moskva while talking about the "realistic gameplay." Da comrade, accurate representation of mighty Soviet WWII Navy:Smile_veryhappy:

Also, the torp drop highlighted was dropped FAR past the arming point, if they wanted a cinematic view turn the UI off.

This isn't quite "famous and historical Monarch" levels, but it's pretty clear those ads aren't for current players:Smile_teethhappy:

Also "command fleets of warships?" How do I do that, would be really nice if I could control my teammates:Smile_hiding:

Yeah, looks like WG's marketing department isn't much different from every other marketing department, prone to a bit of exaggeration at times. Still though, like I said the ads aren't for current players.

At least it's not a vid about Taiho, which was in the game and then removed...
