[HELP] This looks interesting, but what is it?

One if the mods I enabled, showed this interesting ship icons (the dots and vertical dash on dd):

but I could not guess what they mean, help me plz?

The mod is from Aslain's pack, but certainly also available via mod station.

Calm down big guy nothing to be alarmed or afraid of... Its nothing... Its visual style/look.. It has no functional meaning whatsoever in the game... It just looks different...

EDIT: I think 1st line in DD icon is part of regular icon (fibuki in 1st post), but this Kidd here has 1 line, just like Takao.

they have too many variations, BB with 0, 1 and 2 dots.  Also found this DD with 2 lines (and not just 1). Cruiser Takao with line (like DDs).
It's not just random visual, it has meaning.
It's not about torps (if ship has them).
Just occurred to me, it could be ship type:
- New Mex is regular tree, has nothing.
- Kidd and Takao are premium for dubs/cash.
- But Mass and Warspite are prems for dub/cash as well, but have a dot.
- Poltava afaik is also prem for cash only, but has 2 dots, does not make sense...

Clear up this mystery for the OP... I think its nothing to do with the functionality of the match, it just looks good.

All DDs in fact. Kidd has same icon + vertical line. THIS could be purely visual and they will fix the mod, but my question remain, that are the lines and dots xD

The mod has something to do with Rank or XP. I forget what they stand for exactly but, you would need to know each symbol; not worth it in my opinion.

I could not find it in the current version of Aslain so if you do, let me know.

WHY would the MOD creator put the effort to put in the extra boxs or bars ? I think they indicate some accessory or function that ship has in my opinion.  What is it? Spotting planes for little boxs ?  The bar on the back of the DD...well its not  plane....depth charges or type of depth charge ?   But I can tell you if they had some meaning..then the ship is displaying more info so that you can now decide what to do with this info to your advantage. 

Yeah..maybe it is rank as another had posted...could very well be....

It’s a mod that indicates the rough potential speed of the ship. No bar = slow less than 20 kts. More speed = fast more than 35 kts I think. Dashes = somewhere in the middle of all that.

Why do people go nuts and assume the OP is some kind of ignorant kid.... seriously, is "calm down" your put down of the month?

I see a guy who found a mod and its different... and now wishes to discuss it... so why not discuss it without the put downs.

Personally, I don't run any mods, I'd find it too annoying, especially, if its in some way, a small way, including a visual mod like this one is.

If I were to run a mod, first, I'd see what it does... if its just a visual mod, then I'd discount it... but if its also functional, I'd have to ask in what way?

If its just visual, I'd pass... but as always, its a personal choice. If YOU are happy running mods, then good on you... what you do in the privacy of your own game is your business.

Having said that, I did once run a mod, instead of the torp warning... that guy from FAMILY GUY yelled out "Giggity giggity".... I thought, at the time, it was amusing.

Lasted all of 3 days till I deleted it.

It does make sense (unfortunately, because I wanted that to be something more useful hehe), this agrees with what I saw:
full bar => 33kts or more
2 dots => 28 up to 32.5 kts
(forgot other 2, but I was watching the ships comparing speed with dots and it was lining up).

BUT! That Fubuki from my 1st post has 35kts and no bar/dots. Where is your god now xD

Fi uki has a full bar with. I dashes. Fastest speed

hmmm it makes sense. They just used sub-like icon for 1st bar. I already saw ships with 2 bars ||, even cruiser, and they had 38kts. So this all makes sense, thank you and others who replied!
