426 [W_H_S] Sbels [W_H_S] Members 157 posts 12,193 battles Report post #1 Posted December 8, 2020 I have noticed from time to time people I have blacklisted showing upon my team they are still chat blocked (the usual reason I black list someone is because they are toxic in chat) but I thought they weren't supposed to be teamed with me anymore. Just curious

It would be the opposite of skill based MM. Players could manipulated MM by preventing bad players from being on their teams.

Along with anyone who played even one game in a CV. Then there would be bragging about it, counter bans by said players friends. Clans banning each other. Mass hysteria. The only thing that would slow the train wreck down would be the shear volume of players on the server and how long it would take a single player to add a lot of names of players he didn't want to play with. And heaven forbid what effect it might have on the port UI having so many names in the black list. It might cause the port UI to slow to a crawl.

I could effectively manipulate this to force MM to put me on a team of Super Unicums and CCs, which would break the game.
2 neorvo Members 10 posts 233 battles Report post #14 Posted December 8, 2020 I was not aware the chat is filtering their messages to us when blacklisted. This is nice to know. What I note is the initial distribution while playing in co-ops those players seems to be placed far away from us on the map most of the time (for example, we are near cap A, they are near B etc). The yellow signal when appears is useful to note, for paying attention to who is playing with us.
