At the end of the tour of the USS Iowa, they have a theater set up with a high-resolution simulation of the Battle of Okinawa from the perspective of the ship's bridge. It was also made by none other than WG! :honoring:

Here is a video of the simulation my friend shot from his phone during the tour. The audio in the simulation was quite good. Apologies for the poor image quality.

This is a video of the simulation someone else shot with better image quality, although it's from an older version of the simulator. Some of the explosions and effects are missing compared to the previous video. The audio isn't as good, but you can see the gunners pretty well.

So WG created the simulation ? No wonder the simulation graphic looks so familiar with WoWS graphic. :P

It was also replied by WG during the Q&A on 26-4-2013, about 2 years ago :hiding:

I'm really happy to see WG getting involved in history!  It is one thing to read and see pictures and another to try to give people a realistic simulation.  Things like this are essential for keeping the younger generation interested.  Thanks for sharing!

I wish they would make a simulator like this as a full game. Forgive my language but THAT'S BADASS!

It's good at WG gets involved with history :).  It's not only a good service to the naval history of WW2, but also increases their credibility as a military gaming company :).
