"First Blood" was the DD that I was keeping spotted but did these guys care? Nope, when I didn't run over to the other side of the map to drop fighters on them they shot at me and nearly sank me too. Not going to file a report as it's not worth the hassle. They can just enjoy being pink for a while.

BTW, there was a CV unicum in an FDR on the other team. Only the second one I've seen. He dominated but not enough to make up for his teammates' less than spectacular play. Well, I guess he will have to live with a 70% win rate in that ship now instead of 71%.

actually from what i see ...you should have been all over the smolensk after the halland was gone...if thats what they wanted you to spot you should have done that for the team...but looks like you were harassing the thunderers trying to farm damage  ..im assuming on the other side of the map....not criticizing here ....you can play however you like ....just try to be usefull ...

They didn't want me to spot. The game had just started and the FDR had found them. I, in turn, had found the Halland and was keeping it spotted for my team to shoot at. They wanted me to stop spotting and run back to provide them air cover.

We won primarily because a bunch of them started to advance in range but unspotted and, far from farming damage, I mainly kept them spotted. The FDR driver must have really had things to say about his team because they kept moving, on by one, into my team's crossfire.

As long as you filed the in game right click one that takes 2 seconds because their brand of ignorance needs to be removed from the game.

Too many people want to tell the CV what to do, have no clue how they actually work - only how they think it works - and then get overly salty and scream at the CV player usually unjustified, blame them for the loss/give them no credit for the win, or in extreme cases yeah - pull this nonsense.

They think their sunk in the first 30 seconds - takes 50-60 for aircraft to even be in range of the cap in cases, think that planes can go from one end of the map in no time - at roughly 10 seconds/square the help they want is 60-90 second out, if not more in cases - by which point the Red CV has already attacked and by the time his planes return any fighter cover you drop is gone or having watched you fly to them for 2 minutes attack someone else, that planes are unstoppable and infinite when they are anything but - especially against teams not dumb enough to spread out to be picked off and certain compositions, etc. If these people would actually play them above tier 4 instead of saying "I thought about playing CV - but then realized I don't have enough in common with cancer" - and yes that is a direct quote from a match tonight - maybe, we, as a community, could actually work together to fix the issues with balance and all instead of CV players complaining one thing, non - CV players complaining the opposite, Wargaming going 'Spreadsheet says it's fine', and people like me tearing their hair out trying to not simply shout "would you all shut up and listen for 5 minutes".

Cause y'know what - it'd be nice to not lose 2 karma because some clowns in Thunderer and Ohio keep requesting air cover in I3 where they have sod off alone, while I'm running for my life in B9-ish because the majority of the team has let the reds close to within spotting range as it is, and then get destroyed to a point I'm trying to fight 3 red ships and keep them from destroying myself which would negate them their air cover anyway but be of way less use to the team doing no damage from the ocean bottom.

I play alot of DD. Being prosecuted until killed by a Human CV is just a routine part of the game. Just beef airdefense and work on the situation as it unfolds. I actually mounted a consumable for excess air defense. Melted 6 human rocket planes before they finished the inbound attack. That bought me about 3 minutes of open skies of no attacks as that human CV Enemy did not want to see more planes melted by me.

I actually managed to sink a few torps into a human Carrier a few times this week so something must be doing well for once.

Never you mind the team. If they are so bad as to tk you well... they are not worth your time and love. Leave them without air defense. The sooner they either fight or get sunk the better off your team is yourself included.

You do what you do with the carrier. I don't have time to sit and type and complain or harass you about it. In other words you fight your ship, I fight mine. Tkers are dealt with on a case by case base. Its not difficult to make them pink without excessive damage against yourself. Although I seriously hate to do it.

File the report, Snarg; these idiots need to have something more than automatic penalties applied.

They arent gonna learn anything by just being sent to COOP and they are frustrating to play with in that mode.

Maybe I can save him the trouble.  Here is what you will get back;.

Hello JCC45,

Thank you for contacting Wargaming Player Support and we appreciate you for bringing this to our attention so that we can deal with this immediately.

We are very sorry something like this happened when you were just trying to have fun. This has also happened to us in battle and we know it’s frustrating and can have a major impact on the outcome of a game.

In Update 0.7.4. was taken the system for preventing misconduct in a battle to a new level. It will affect both inactive players and those who deliberately attack their allied ships.

When a user violates the rules, is "AFK" in battle, or attacks allies, the system first simply prompts such players to think about their behavior and start playing fairly, while the player's nickname turns pink. The warning itself contains information about what the player was punished for.

If, after the first warning, the player continues to violate the rules of fair play, the next step of the system will be to prohibit access to all types of battles, except for Co-op Battles, Clan Battles, and Training Room, while the player's nickname will turn orange—but only in the Port. To return to battles against other players and gain access to other types of battles, the player will have to take part in several Co-op Battles against bots. The player must still observe the rules of the game and contribute to the battle.

Again, we thank you for bringing this to our attention and for your continuous love and support for the game.

Please do contact us again should you have any questions/issues in the future.

Thank you and have a great day ahead!

That was the response to a video showing a well known Unicum Forumite killing me because he didn't like where I was positioned.

Doesn't matter. The paper trail has to be laid.

Some of them hate co-op so much that it will actually mess with their heads to be confined there.

I recommend filing the reports. There is a decent percentage of weak minds that are followers, following the crap examples of tkers and foul mouths. When they get reported and bumped to Coop or chatbanned etc they clean it up quick. A lot of undisciplined people need that reminder to stay in line too.
The hardcore idiots are far more rare, and one really doesn’t see them that often. For them, their behavior is already illogical, and there’s no fixing it, but if they accumulate enough reports they’ll be permabanned for violating T&Cs.

People don't seem to understand that the CV is not their personal escort and protection.    I can't stand when people bug me for fighter support...fighters don't actually do anything to stop attacks, they are basically a spotting tool only in their current design, if I have any real gripes about CVs its that the fighter consumable is so incredibly bad and useless.

Fighters should activate sooner, attacker sooner, and not disappear after "latching" onto planes to prevent the exploitable ability to just burn it off with 3-some planes you were gonna lose anyway.    Some of the skill rework is attempting to do that, but its not worth giving up the other skills, so I don't see anyone taking it unless they wanna total MEME build to attempt to CV counter instead of doing damage, which feels like a waste of time to me.

It happens to DDs, also. I have been asked to do some incredibly stupid things as a DD.

Hey, I saw an FDR a couple days ago. He had a very passive team that was largely held to the upper left quadrant of the mini map. His spotting ability was no joke it that confined area.

I play DDs a ton!  I just learned to act like My CV doesn't exist.

Once in a while I see MAJOR support from my CV driver and yes,  it makes a huge difference.

I just don't expect it and that lowers the stress level  a LOT.

Learn not to depend on the CV and life gets much easier... when you do get CV help it's just GRAVY!

Reports do nothing. I stopped filing them for that reason.

WG doesn't make them easy to file either. Fortunately, such incidents are rare, which makes them "threadworthy." I've been fired at by an actual teamkiller only a couple of times. Most times I'm hit it's by someone not paying attention. A couple of times it was really funny because my teammate actually thought I was an enemy ship until someone on the team told him that he was shooting at the wrong ship. Once I and a teammate were right next to each other, both firing at the enemy, but only hitting each other because we couldn't see what was next to us in binocular mode. Having my CV shelled by my own team because I didn't do what they told me to fast enough is a first though.

Yep, loudmouth teamkillers are annoying no matter what game mode you prefer.

But Snarg,   think of all the joy you got from ruining those players games just by existing!   You don't owe them a darn thing, and I wouldn't give cretins like that air cover either, if they acted like that towards me.   In fact, I HAVE let players like that like it or lump it for screeching at me in chat when I was the CV.    It also didn't help that my Saipan fighters were completely outclassed by the actual real tier 8 CV...  Dropping them accomplished nothing- save to feed him more plane kills.

Like you, I went looking for DD's to spot for the team.  Did they shoot at them? NO!!!   I did keep it corralled way up in a corner and away from anywhere it could accomplish much- but again, that wasn't appreciated either.   A couple of them started shooting their mouths off in chat, so They got no further help from me.    The other team got steamrolled anyhow, so I amused myself by fanning the flames of these doofus's anger.

Players who expect everyone else to play their ships solely for THEIR benefit- and freak out when you don't- are turds.   They've always been turds, and they always will be turds.

I try to help people with fighter cover when I do play randoms which almost never but you can't be everywhere at once and we don't teleport around the map either :Smile_sceptic: So poping fighters for someone way out of the way is time-consuming :fish_palm:
