We see here the aftermath of the Goldeneye incident.

In all seriousness, the setting of the finale of Goldeneye, known in real life as the Arecibo Observatory has collapsed today.

Unknown if Sean Bean survived the Cradle landing on him in the movie.

Wondering if there are any videos of the collapse.

Seems some security footage from the sight may have caught something...even if not a direct full angle view of it.

Although due to it's isolated location security footage may be minimal.

Shame though...a lot of technological history there.

(Was originally gonna put up a "BAD JAMES BOND" post in reference to just the title...w/out the details...but actual content distracted me).

Next month, Godzilla will climb out from below the wreckage. Japan will be notified to locate a specific Japanese woman and child.

Wow...in just 35 seconds it was all over.

Good thing they had warning from the other cables giving out earlier & had that area cordoned off. That could a been catastrophic had everything been running business as usual...those cables are no joke when they get to whipping through the air.

Thanx for posting that.

And now we have the Scott Manley commentary on the disaster footage.
