Monday morning chuckles..........

Island humpers,  NO , HE spammers, No,

What gets my vote for the worst thing in this game are just plain ole completely ignorant ( and proud of it apparently ) people who play it.

After all this time I STILL get tools screaming in chat about the fact that I will not smoke up my " gunbote"  and take on that Kita and CL that are sitting 4 km apart at 8 km from me ( hunting me BTW ) .

IN MY HALLAND!  :Smile_teethhappy:

All the while  they are yoloing to certain death and want me to join them.

They die , I get down vote lol.

I wonder if they get mad at hockey games when they don't score a TOUCHDOWN!!? :cap_like:

I can't tell you how many times I've made BB drivers upset when I use their Battleships for AA cover in my smokeless Yugumo.

The wonderful tactical advice I'm given "I shouldn't drive DDs if I'm afraid of rocket planes".  Brilliant.

If it's any consolation I had three people screaming what an idiot I was for not switching to HE to shoot at a bow on BB. I was in Neptune.

Now that is funny........  I am so glad to only play COOP.

The interesting news is that there are going to be a legion of school age young adults playing Randoms and Ranked after the new year.  They aren't going back to school till the fall of 2021.........and that means, WoWs time for hundreds of ESRT T kids !    Geeze, if I had the time to recruit kids and parents when the come to the VG store for advice !!!

How did they find WoWs you ask?  The local eSports clubs and video game stores are recommending WoWs to parents because it   1) is an Arcade Shooter and,  2)  doesn't have graphic gore and dismemberment......!!!  Several friends of mine told me they must have talked to a 100 parents this last month, with all ages of children at home; and, for ESRB T Boys and some girls, WoWs is a safe bet !  Now, Grand Ma and Grand Pa are buying junior into the game big time......!  One visitor, he was 13 and so proud,  had all of the current black ships already and about 5 other premium ships......  A friend of mine recommended a few TT ships for him to start with but, my friend got the impression he's headed to Randoms (PVP) soonest........(to help you I bet)....!

I hate to say it but the average player age is something like 45 years old, or at least it was a couple of years back. Thus, there are grown adults that play this poorly. In fact, I blame the old people more than young people. Most kids probably grew up gaming and have a far better understanding of mechanics. A lot of old dudes played an Atari back in 1980 and haven't played games since than. They get all excited to play this game because Uncle Bob and Dad told them stories from the war when they served on the USS New Jersey ect.

Its not that bad Skuggsja. Ive played mechanical era games prior to Arcade games in the early 70's starting with the stand up coin op two player shootout. You get a revolver and 6 rounds ina  western theme problem. When you are out of bullets and do not hit the other fella yer dead.

Ive played the entire coin op age and then got into the consoles prior to the early 486 PC games in windows with Doom onwards through to today. Mostly first person shooters or simulations even FSX online etc. The last 20 years Ive built my own systems and some are approaching 15 years service. My current rig is almost 6 years old now 24/7 if it is not playing wows or something else, its running as a space heater for winter. Cheaper that way than running my other three space heaters.

What I do not do is engage in toxicity much. I'll blacklist a toxic player if I don't avoid being one myself. Sometimes disable chat. But lately the community in Wows has been pretty good during the BF and thanksgiving holiday. If I thought I was a big time gamer you should see the nieces and nephews. I remember when dance was a thing on the console with the dance pad. All night they danced. If I hear that tune one more time... it did keep them fit. Work off some of that good eating.

In the end I spent much of my life as a trucker and whatever games I engaged in started back in the Photon then qzar, laser storm and a few others that did not really last too long so visit arenas around the Nation on time off and engage in battle physically. Laser games. There was one in Mall of America that was very well run and I would take care of any extra food there.

At some point I am back home and online. I am usually careful what games I put on to play. I spent a great deal of time in POE (Artillery) and in Arma2 and 3 as well as battlefield and so on. Arma3 has some of the best artillery support experience in voice comms provided I can boost the sound card to exceed my threshold to engage in fire missions on call for days. The scenarios do not end until its completely and totally finished.

Where will I be 5 years from now? With a new build computer and continuing to game in wows and others. Unfortunately I am also a medical patient and undergoing one to two surgeries a year building a skeleton with metal and ceramic parts installed so the future is better. Gaming has done quite a lot to keep the mind focused and solving problems.

I try not to over do it. Its important to maintain fitness, nutrition and fluids in particular along with a evironment that will help you thrive. And that means getting out to ride a bike, horse or bowl etc. Something physical. gaming is horrendously expensive. I refuse to add up the lifetime totals. I do remember in Coin op days (1974 to 2000) I had a budget of 100 dollars ready to go And after that visit three particular casinos for table gaming. Poker for one generic let it ride for the other. If gambling is expensive then gaming is even more so. You never spend more than the money you can afford to lose. There is a real addiction possibility into gaming and it is pretty close to gambling that if you suddenly took out a mortgage and sunk 20K in boxes etc then counseling is recommended.

There are some gamers who were and are Vets. If they have a applicable story of their service I am always open to sit quietly and listen (Read) the story wherever it might be in any of our wars. I just finished reading a war report from the US war college pertaining to a infantry unit in the great war (WW1) and combined with the family items made for a really difficult time that the grandparent went through in battle. The Germans did gas him and burn him (Mustard gas burns on skins in the legs and also blinded him temporarily. However his unit did ok, but was very green and new to war. They got chopped up in two days and nights of fighting.

Old dudes?  Like me???  Those stories my Grandparents told were WW1.  My Dad and every male of that generation: WW2.  Uncles were Korea.  I enlisted in 73 and retired in 96.  Brothers were FA sub dudes.....  Son just retired last year from the Army from the same unit I served in.  Oldest Grand Daughter just enlisted in the Navy this July and is at her A school..........  Stories, we go back to before the Civil War.....  7 + generations.  Three generations of paratroopers....  Stories..........you have no idea.  Because, the stories were everywhere, everyday and hard to live up to........

"We get all excited" because when we grew up, us "old dudes" had neighbors in the 82d at D-Day-1.  Neighbors whom were in every ship imaginable...  Older relatives whom actually made the steel for the Ships armor and the 16/14/12/8 inch guns at Bethlehem Steel........  Had a German SS Tanker up the street (I still have his 1LAH cuff bands.....a physics/math professor...)

I play the game because I was invited to play the game......my Regimental Affiliation was playing WOTS and we all uninstalled; because, it is no where near real tanking.....and, some came here....  Now, I am the only one left...  And, those stories make this game silly.........because, ^^^^^ those guys and now our first female soldier, are those stories and we have the scars and bad dreams that go with them.....  A lot of old dudes beat the Crap out of the Army Marksmanship unit every year I was in the Army..........why?  Because us Old Duds learned how to shoot old school without gizmos....

@Asym_KS Dont take it personally, it wasnt meant to be. I just hate when people say "the kids ruining the game," when most kids are actually playing stuff outside of WoWs. I feel like some players just dont want to take any personal responsibility for matches not going well.

I've had a few old clan mates as well as a good friend that were 60 and older. None of them played that well, and one barely gets it but loves coop.

Some dudes just arent gamers but we cant just always blame it on the kids. I'm 34 and sometimes I play like garbage and other times I run super unicum stats. Teams matter, but so does knowing if you're decent or just pawning off your bad play on someone else. (Again not directed at you)

That does not mean that you could not try.

I see many a Asashio player trying to torp CAs and DDs. :Smile_child:

Yeah, the young adult mostly play things like Assassin's Creed, COD, and some new Russian one.  There is still a minecraft following.

My son is building a machine right now (I have to get his specs, I've forgotten them) and spent most of break hitting up sites to see what games he wants to get.

Most of them find this game too slow.

No dummy, you're just another DD, you don't matter, you complain too much and you're also a member of organized crime and that is despicable.

You are the most OP ship on the whole game who can onesidedly decide the outcome of the game. Shut up now go fight that enemy DD and WIN EZ no matter the odds, destroy that yamato camping 26 KM away, smoke up all 5 allied cruisers on the team so they can sit comfortably and shoot HE while peeking from the corner of an island. Oh, there's planes carrying deadly rockets and HE bombs that can potentially take 30 or 80 % of your total health? lmbo just dodge it bro, and get those caps too I want them points ticking but just let me finish damage farming this BB on the corner of the map before I can help you out with that radar ship.

if you dare to fail at any of these tasks you're like the entire reason our team is losing and should just uninstall the game.

I think you're not giving the old guys due credit.  The old dudes likely played Duke Nukem, Silent Hunter, Falcon 4.0, Doom, Rainbow Six, F-22 Raptor, et al.  You get the idea.   And then there's the multitude of arcade games available during the 80's.

While the old guys reflexes may not be as good as the younger generations, WoWs is not all that demanding on reflexes as many of the higher intensity games.

Not to get all technical but, you could be in your late 40's today and still served on the USS New Jersey.

Uncle Bob and Dad were in Nam.
